1.66 Ghz too little?

I'm going to be purchasing a new laptop from my school and the one I'm interested in only comes with a 1.66 Ghz Core 2 Duo. Is that too slow these days? I won't be using it for gaming (I may try out Starcraft 2 when it comes out) but it will be mostly used for standard stuff like word processing, itunes, torrents, surfing the web, at the same time though. What I'm really worried about though, is will it still be zippy in 3-4 years? I'm getting 2 Gb of RAM but I'm still a little worried about the survivability of this thing. Opinions please.
 
Thanks. But another question. Integrated greaphics from Intel X3100 will be able to handle HD Video right?
