The person to post the best answer (in my opinion) to the following question...gets the Beta Key

What is the best Star Trek Movie? YOU MUST GIVE A REASON, I will be picking on the reason why your choice is the best, NOT the best movie

The contest ends today Wednesday Jan 20th at 3 pm Pacific (6pm Eastern)

UPDATE - Ended up getting a key from help1 so while my statement still holds I no longer need to be in the contest. Thanks for giving this out though.

The new movie is the best Star Trek movie for the fact that it completely rebooted the series. It was the first time in a long time that I could actually talk to non nerdy friends about star trek. The success of the movie also ensured that the series will keep going into the future.

Star Trek the Wrath of Khan

1. Ricardo Montalban was an incredible villian
2. They allowed the compelling death of a main character (even though they did bring him back)
3. Giving Scotty some emotional screentime and actually giving some dimensions to the engineering crew.
4. It did not feature a bald chick

The new Star Trek movie for 3 reason:

1. It was a really cool relaunch of the franchise with stunning visuals and action sequences
2. It has introduced Star Trek to people outside of Trekkies which will help continue the franchise for The Next Generation (had to)
3. fucking Uhura was smoking hot.

I mean the movies Star Trek Motion Picture to Star Trek 2009 are the only applicable ones to keep this fair because I have the feeling that people are really wanting this code
 
you really are going to make me work for this... fine.
Then the new star trek movie with syler is the best. Because it allows both old fan and new fans to enjoy it and allows a great jumping point for new fiction and movies to start from.
