We got in a half pallet display of 147 $10 DS games at my store. It's got a lot of... stuff on it. 35 different titles.

Most of it probably won't be of interest (bunch of Nick games, some Disney stuff... etc.) However, there was some nice games on it - Puzzle Quest, Chessmaster, Geometry Wars: Galaxies, Lost in Blue 2 and Lost in Blue 3... some nice picks.

Since this is a large display, I'm assuming many other stores got it. Perhaps worth checking out.

I'm still trying to decide if I want to pick up Chessmaster - anyone know if you can save multiplayer games to continue them later?
Chessmaster is well worth it at that price.
Do you own it? Can you save multi-player games and pick 'em up to play later?

I do own it. Not sure about saving multi-player games to play later as I've never tried that. I know you can save local games and pick them up and play them later. Sorry I can't help more.

I haven't seen a single sale at my WM and whenever there is on, all the hillbillies and hicks who basically live there buy everything and anything good.
Nice prices for Lost in Blue 2 and 3...
Would be nicer if the original were as easy to find cheap

They just put this out at my Wal-Mart in the last few days at most (OP beat me to it I have pics I'm going to try to upload). I picked up Warhammer 4K: Squad Command and Worms 2: Open Warfare. I was going to check my cell phone pics and reviews before I got any more.

This type of thing is very unusual to see at Wal-Mart. Decent DS games for $10 are hard to find (cheapest I see most decent titles on Amazon are $13-$15).

They aren't all from one company either.

Shouldn't be YMMV as this is an actual display with the price printed on it.

Should I get Puzzle Quest on DS or PC?

Yeah, they never leave any budget games outside the cases at my local Walmart since it's in a pretty ghetto area. Last night when I passed by it on the way to my good neighborhood, I saw a group of guys getting arrested right before the turnoff.

Was in for Puzzle Quest at that price. The Warhammer game is the icing on the cake though. Not as good as the PSP version supposedly, but my PSP is broken and I can always borrow one of my daughters' DS. Just won't be able to play it in public since one is mettalic rose and the other is pastel pink. Thanks for the follow-up!

Since you will be at walmart, check for those rubber slip on covers made by nintendo. I have a green zelda one that came with a pen like stylus. Dont buy the nerf armor though, it went on easy but I literally had to tear it up to remove it.

Thanks to the OP -- I dropped $100 at my local Wal-Mart today. Cream of the crop is definitely only the ones he listed, and there are way too many Disney/Cartoon Network ones, but if you can find this display at your store it's hard to pass up $10 games. It's a cardboard standalone display that clearly has Nintendo DS $10 printed all over it.

Others available: Mahjong Quest Expeditions, Dream Pinball, Jenga, Sudoku Mania, Time Ace, Flipper Critters.

I think they're still rolling these displays out this week, because my SoCal store's looked extremely fresh and fully stocked today, while the next closest store didn't have any yet. Most titles have less than 5 copies each.

Um...who gives a shit? Just play it...screw what anyone else thinks. However, good luck wrestling the DS away from a kid...

Hm...Puzzle Quest is super tempting at that price. I was about to pickup the iTouch version, but I think need to reconsider. Definitely in for Chessmaster & Puzzle Quest (for my nephews). Thanks OP!
Is Galaxy Wars anything like Geometry Wars?
I'm pretty sure it's actually Geometry Wars: Galaxies. I haven't played it, but I'd assume it's not far from the other GW incarnations.

Went to one walmart, no display, went to another, had it, no puzzle quests showing, but i looked behind the games and found a couple. Bought 1. Now I just need to get a DS...

Just a hint, the display was poorly organized...the game on the front of each row isn't necessarily the same as the games behind it, they're all scattered randomly, so if you don't see what you want, look at all the games in each row.

This.

I've had it since launch. Good game, not as shiny as the console versions but worth $10 easy. The only issue is no dual-sticks, but they give you a few different control scheme options.

Puzzle Quest is a must-buy. I've sneered at any version of Bejeweled and it's ton-o-clones ever since PQ hit the scene. It destroys all other Bejeweled games, and I'm anxious to see what they've done with Galactrix (March 3rd). Early reviews sound like they've done good.

I was all ready to get the Chessmaster, but my son reminded me Clubhouse Games has Chess. Any reason to get another Chess game? I think they are both 1 cartridge multiplayer. . .also a lot of comments on Puzzle Quest, but nobody stating pros/cons PC vs. DS. . .if anybody has any thoughts, now would be good before they sell out.

For $10 it's not bad, but I'm still holding out for the PSP or PC version. If nothing else they look better and the PC one I can play more places even easier :D

If anyone has a 360 or PS3, just get one of those versions of Puzzle Quest. The DS incarnation is utter crap compared to those two. It's like playing the SMS version of Sonic the Hedgehog (sorry if that reference doesn't register with the teeny-boppers reading this). If you ride the bus or train...I can see why you might want PQ on the go. Otherwise if you're just going to be sitting at home playing, get the nicer versions.
Darn, I don't think Gametap has the Master System version. I'm really curious now.
If you want to waste $5, the SMS versions of Sonic 1 and 2 are on the Wii Virtual Console. They are most definitely NOT worth $5, however.

I went to one at lunch and didn't find the display. Was it located in the electronics area? Or just in the store in a random spot? Endcap, or stand alone display in the middle of an isle?

I plan on checking the other one closer to my house after work, I need to pick up groceries anyways. Hoping to pick up PuzzleQuest. Would appreciate any more information on the display itself as well. Thanks!

I don't think the Master System version of Sonic the Hedgehog 1 is a waste. It's actually a decent game. I liked it a lot. It's important to note that an entirely different developer made the game (Ancient) aside from Aspect who made the majority of the 8 bit Sonic games.

The Bleach fighting game is well worth the $10 if you're into 2D fighters. It is a beauty, and has very nice wifi features.
