Perma-ban. I'm not even supposed to go into the stores. Their issue with me was most likely that I wasn't like a good percentage of their customers and trading in stuff I bought from them with cash new/used for almost MSRP and then trading it back in for 1/6th of what I paid. I was trading in stuff I paid almost nothing for and I was getting 3-4x what I paid.;) To top it all off I waited till a good/great promo was going at the same time I was doing the trades and I exploited those like crazy.:lol:

But that's the thing. When I was doing these promos like crazy and trading in TONS of stuff to them, I was also doing pre-orders on games at MSRP and picking up those pre-order to boot. The employees at my closest store got the lion's share of those.

Of course, I also learned from talking to the employees that when you cancel pre-orders it hurts the numbers of the person who cancels it and NOT the person who you made it with. So if there's some dick-ish employees at one of your GS stores and you want to get back at them for being know-it-all's and such, do a couple pre-orders and then make sure you cancel with them.;)

Amazon(NorAm) takes them, but gives varying amounts. However, be careful as they may deny them if they don't look exactly like the pictured one. I sent them three of my leftovers from the ones I used to trade to GS and I surprisingly got $7 each for the ones I sent in. But some friends sent in the exact same ones and got denied a week or so later.

Other local game store... maybe pawn shops but I think GS and other game stores will have the best turn around...
 
Thanks for pointing out all the GS trade-in info. I guess I'm in for 20. Can always trade-in some whenever I'm nearby. And I have multiple store options.

Can you link me? I can't seem to find a trade-in for HDMI cables on Amazon. Thanks.
 
Ordered 2. The ones from Amazon crapped out on me, these should be fine replacing them. Too bad these aren't available in the 99 cent stores.

I just did a live chat with an Amazon rep, and they said they don't take trade-ins for HDMI cables. So, take that FWIW.

Just brought 3 15ft HDMI cables for $1.98 (price went up to $4 today though so I'm lucky that I brought it yesterday). Still good deal for a 10ft.

Yeah. They realized I was making money/credit off of them by trading in shit I got for a pittance compared to what they were giving me. So apparently their slogan should read: "Power to the players

I have enough spare controllers to last till next gen for the PS3 already due to the one messed up GS promo a while back(trade in select games, get $20 off anything in the store) and from buying controllers on clearance($10 Rocketfish ones from BB, $20 silver Dual Shock 3 from Sears).

Plus right now Sears has the XBLA controller/game pack with 4 XBLA games for $20 on clearance. So you could buy 3-4 of those for $60-80 and not have to pay $40+ per wireless controller for 360 and have spares till the 720 comes out.:razz:

Really? I bought that pack once. I kept the controller and gave the games to my now ex. Might be time to pick it up again :)
 
I placed two orders for HDMI cables. My first order was for 1 and my second order was for 9. I just received a bag from UPS with 8 cables in it..

My closest store had SIX of those packs sitting buried/hidden on top of something else up under the last shelf in the 360 game/system case. Another much further away one had 4-6 sitting in the one case unmarked when I was there.

Of course, I told the one woman who was looking for a cheap controller for her families' kids about the game/controller pack and she bought THREE of the six from the closest store.

Mind ya, I only want em in the event I get a 360 n want some spare controllers.
