Amazon has their *usual* Disney coupon here for Lady and the Tramp 3-Disc Blu/DVD/DC Combo. Right now, the coupon brings the price down to $19.99. I'd be willing to go out on a limb and say that this will be the best way to get the movie since there's no guarantee Disney will put out a $10 coupon (they haven't in a while)

and it can't hurt to lock in a preorder :)

Thanks to Unoriginal26 over at the blu-ray.com forums for the heads up!

As always.

Last night I dusted off our Tarzan DVD and noticed that it would make a great candidate for a 3D conversion. Surprised I haven't heard anything about Tarzan on Blu-ray. Still hoping we get a BR transfer of Lilo & Stitch and the Emperor's New Groove.

Is there a list of Disney movies being converted to 3D? Or is it just safe to assume that all the classics are getting the rotoscope treatment eventually?

Anyone know when reviews for this set come out? I just don't want to get burned like I did with the Fox and the Hound blu-ray.

I am confident that any blu-ray in Disney's Diamond or Platinum Collection will be a must buy quality wise.

I'm a bit confused here...
Are some of you getting $10 off just Lady & the Tramp??

When I follow the link in the OP, I see the following offer:

Save $10 on "Lady and the Tramp" Combo Pack
Pre-order Lady and the Tramp Blu-ray/DVD combo pack and an eligible Disney combo pack and save $10.

So it's basically $10 off Lady & the Tramp and another Disney Blu Ray, not just Lady & the Tramp?

On a related note, I could've sworn there was some "$8 off Lady & the Tramp coupon" on Amazon a while back as well but I can't seem to locate it on my account.
Any help would be much appreciated!!

Yeah, Amazon had a $10 coupon for just Lady and the Tramp (only the 3-disc version) in November but it's dead now and replaced with that other off.er. Did you clip the coupon and order the movie at the time the coupon was alive? That's the only way you would be able to use it.

Ah, that must be it.
I think I clipped the coupon but didn't pre-order right away.
Thanks for clearing that up! :)

Still, I'm considering Lady & the Tramp and Tangled 3D for just under $42 which isn't too bad!

I came across another option at Target when I was googling the Amazon coupon:

http://www.couponingtodisney.com/20...n-blu-raydvd-combo-pack-great-deal-at-target/

Using the DMR coupon ($8 off Lady & the Tramp) and $8 off for buying Lady & the Tramp and another Disney combo pack for $19.99 (Tangled, Beauty & the Beast, Dumbo, Lion King, Bambi, or Winnie the Pooh), you can grab 2 combo packs for ~$31.98!

Damn, I was looking for a lady & the Tramp coupon a while back. Can't believe I missed it. Might have to wait for the next BR release for another B2 discount, as I already have all the BR's up to this point.

The only Disney 2D animated film that's currently being converted to 3D (that's been announced anyway) is The Little Mermaid.

You speak of "rotoscope", but Beauty and the Beast and the Lion King didn't need to have such a laborious treatment due to the fact that all of the animations were hand drawn into a computer and colored digitally.

The Little Mermaid was the last Disney movie to use actual animation cels (except for the last few scenes of the film which used the digital process)... so I guess they're converting it as a test run to see how much more work it will be in the case that they decide to convert the older movies.

All remaining titles newer than Mermaid will be much easier to convert.

I hope they leave certain things out of the 3D conversion:

So, just to be sure, everyone is getting this for $17.99 (if you preorderd back in Nov 2011)?

If you clipped the coupon and ordered it then yes, plus taxes where they apply. Your order details should show whether that's the case or not.

Thanks. It's just that someone mentioned earlier that they had it for $14.99...just want to make sure I wasn't losing out on my 3 bucks!

They did match Best Buy. BB has the same 'buy lady & tramp + one of these disney things' and save $10 on the order. Amazon's selection wasn't as big though.
should be 14.99 if they match best buy. mine was 14.99 before i cancelled it. im going the b&m route
The version that Amazon has the coupon for isn't the $24.99 at Best Buy, it's the $34.99 version. A mighty steep price to pay for a digital copy if you ask me... Amazon's price with coupon of $17.99 should still be better if I'm not mistaken and missing out on a deal?

I just received my copy from Amazon. They shipped it in a flimsy envelope and the slipcover is banged up and coming unglued on one of the corners. :(
I might just go buy another copy tomorrow at the local store, exchange the slipcovers and then return. I'm anal about these things.

Best Buy has left pre-order prices high on some items sometimes and drops them on release date.

If it's just the two-disc BD/DVD version and not the BD/DVD/DC version that is $24.99 in the ad, then yes, this deal would be better, if you wanted the digital copy.

Get them to send you another copy and tell them why they have to go through the motions on that.

You're sleazy too.
My wife cannot wait for this to be delivered in the morning. Was one of her favorite shows growing up.
I was hoping I would get mine today, smart post has been about 50/50 lately from when it was almost guaranteed I would always get it on Mondays.

I checked the SKU on the one in the BB ad. It's for the BD/DVD version, not the BD/DVD/DC.

In any case, from what I'm hearing, TRU may have the best deal on this since Disney put out an $8 coupon for the BD/DVD/DC version. Their price is $24.99, so with the coupon, the price would be $16.99. TRU also offers a $5 GC with purchase of it.

Correct. Toys R Us has the 3 Disc Lady and the Tramp listed for $24.99. Any idea if we could get Amazon to pricematch that? Furthermore, I've never submitted a lower price to Amazon before. Is there a link to do that? Or do you have to contact a CSR and do it that way? I'm sure there's an easier way, I just haven't been able to navigate my way there yet...

The majority of TRU locations will have limited stock on the 3 disc. Expect stores to be sold out early.

The "product details section" on the last line of that section has a "Tell us about a lower price" link. It opens a pop up on that page. Be sure to give them the link to TRU page with the 3 disc set and also mention that the shipping is 0.00.

Decided to cancel my Amazon preorder and go with TRU:

$24.99 for 3 Disc Lady and the Tramp + $5 GC
$5 Preorder towards the Muppets on Bluray
-$10 for Preorder deal
-$8 for Disney Rewards Coupons

Came out to be $11.99 pre-tax for Lady and the Tramp 3 disc version and a $5 gift card.

Seems like a great deal. I'm debating what route to go. Can I cancel the Muppet pre-order after?

Yeah, you can cancel the Muppets pre-order later.
