$100 off Xbox 360 (YMMV?)

My wife and her Mom went shopping for a new TV yesterday. The went to a Best Buy here in Michigan and the sales person told them when you purchase a new TV $999 or more, you get $100 off the price of a 360! I'm going to confirm that later today but if this is true, Elite here I come.

They were giving away premium 360s when you purchases select Samsung TVs. I believe the lowest price was around $1300-1400.
