100 pk. DVD-R's $30 shipped at newegg

Mixed reviews.....I got the RiData discs from Amazon for about the same price, and those work perfectly. Except my DVD burner only burns at 2.4X (I tried to upgrade firmware, but it would not take)

Time for a new burner eventually.....either the NEC 16X or the Pioneer 16X....any suggestions?

I just bought the NEC 16x. I haven't burned any 16x discs yet, but the thing burns 8x discs beautifully.
QUestion what good is a DVD burner when u can only burn like 2-4 hours per DVD
It can hold a LOT more than a CD

It also can BACK-UP DVD movies....I do that when I take my portable DVD player on a trip, I don't want to risk scratching my official DVD's.

I have the Pioneer DVR-108 (the 16x drive). Its very sweet, burns very fast and I've yet to have a single bad disc with it so far with using the Ritech 8x discs (burning at 12x lol).

I got mine off of Newegg.com for $94, which at the time was a sweet deal. I've seen them run it for a bit less as of lately but I'm very happy. If you get the drive, make sure you get the latest firmware as it helps tremendously with overall performance.

You'll thank me later for what I just wrote....
