1080 avalanche CG $9.99 EB B&M

Not sure if this is old news or not, but the manager at my local EB said he just cut the price on 1080 today to $9.99. Since I wasn't able to grab one from EBgames.com when they were that price I snagged one today.

Do you think... to qualify for the mail-in $10 gift voucher listed earlier, I could buy 2 copies of the same game?

The wording is...

"Receive a $10 mail-in gift voucher when you
purchase two of the following GameCube games:

Final Fantasy Chronicles, F-Zero, Luigis Mansion,
Metroid Prime, Pokemon Channel, Wario World,
1080 Avalanche or Magical Mirror Mickey Mouse"

Just a thought! :D
 
so i can still get the voucher when i buy the 1080 at the store? i already have the wario world from ebgames.com. so i send the 2 receipt and i can get my voucher? do i have to cut out my UPC even though the form doesnt say?
 
I picked up 2 copies of 1080 last night. You should have seen the clerk's face when the packaging read $49.99 and the register showed them for $9.99 each!! At $10, there is no reason NOT to pick up 1080 for some online play using WarpPipe. Shoot, buy copies for your friends.

Wario World was $29 though.

Why isn't this deal on the home page? It should get top billing!!

the only mail in rebate that I found was the buy 2 games, get a $10 EB Voucher. It was a small square piece of paper.

Where did you find the voucher that says buy 1 game and is it also in the shape of a square?
 
I think this deal would have been on the first page if the webmaster was around....this was one of the better deals I got on since i've signed up for CAG
 
I stopped in one of the local EBs today. They said the deal was over.

I could see on the shelf that the $9.99 price tag had been covered by a $49.99 one.

That sucks. Looks like instead of being a one day sale it lasted for 2. Glad I got in on this when I did.
 
wow...that sucks to see it's over....

it's good to see the first party nintendo titles drop a bit at least for awhile....hope EB will start doing more B&M deals like that

I agree. But Im also glad it wasnt on the front page or I'd have a hard time finding a copy with so many others out there!

Damn, I went to EB Games today to check if the deal was still alive, but before the cashier even finished the price check, some lady yelled out, "The deal is over!" Oh well...
 
yeah, i went to an eb in a mall that ive never been to before today....and the lady was really cool until i asked for two and said that it should ring up as 9.99....she then said, "huh?, show me"....so i went back and got hte box off of the shelf and she got this huge attitude out of nowhere, like im the one who "supposedly" labelled it wrong...she then told me, "well, im only selling you one copy...someone screwed up on the price stickers and i have to honor you the price for one copy because of that"...i then said that i had just bought a copy a couple days ago at a different eb for 9.99...she then said that i must've been mistaken...she acted like the difference was coming out of her pocket...stupid bitch
 
I managed to get in on it last night, all they had was the store copy, pissed me off but for only 10$ I couldn't complain too much.
 
in store deals end just like the ones on the web site. act fast when you hear about them because most of the good ones end in a day or two.
 
Yeah I went tonight excited at the prospect of another cheap game, only to be turned away. Got to start acting faster and checking the boards more.
 
I got a brand new non display one for $10, and it was even marked as $9.99. The guys there were cool about it, too.

I also brought Unreal Tournament and Tetris/Clone Wars to trade and ended up getting $20 towards halo 2 for them, so if you have any crappy/real cheap(Tetris was .01) games, you can get $20 towards certain upcoming games, not a bad deal.
 
I actually saw a list of the price changes for 6/30 at my local EB that changed the price back to $49.99. I had been there on the 29th, and it was indeed marked at $9.99...then yesterday (the 1st) I decided that I needed to snag it for a FYE trade-in, stopped to grab it and alas, it had changed. I chatted with the clerk briefly and he was nice enough to look it up for me in his memo's - so I would find it safe to assume it's a dead deal *sigh*
 
that sucks...well...we are gonna have to keep catching the deals they throw at us

hope they keep putting these first party game cube games on sale because anywhere else they are at 40-50 bucks
 
I just got back from EB, and I was prepared to let you guys know the deal was over...though you've already found out. Oh well, maybe it'll happen again soon. :x
 
I was at Target the other day to pick up La Pucelle, and noticed 1080:A was marked $29.99 there. An odd price drop, considering that EB bumped it back up to $50 and no one else has it any cheaper. Might want to keep an eye on a possible clearance, for those of you that missed out on the $10 deal.
