Apologize if this is old news.

Seems like this release will be just like the Batman Complete Animated Series set (repackage of the already released DVDs plus a bonus DVD). This time Justice League/Unlimited and Superman are getting the treatment. Guess Batman Beyond will be next.

You can check out the info here, both will release sometime in Nov. 2009:

Wolverine and the X-Men is also getting a box set in 11/09. Not sure if it is all of season 1 or half since I don't watch the show.

What the? Not bad... Already have Volume 1 of Superman TAS which I got from Big Lots for $3.00. It's not too expensive so I'll probably be picking it up when it comes out. Wonder how it'll look with my Batman TAS boxset. Yay! JL/JLU looks interesting too....

Wish these new box sets retained the look of Batman: Complete Animated Series.

Note: If you want these sets I'd recommend not waiting. Batman: Complete Animated Series quickly went out of print. I'd expect these to go out of print quickly too. Amazon also currently has Pre-Order price guarantee on the sets so no need to worry if the price drops between now and 11/09.
Are there any plans for complete sets on Blu-Ray?
Doubtful. Season 1 of JL was released on Blu-Ray. It was overpriced and I guess didn't sell enough to warrant another set.

I'll probably get JL/JLU, even though I didn't like JLU. Batman Beyond probably wasn't popular enough for something like this, and season 1 and 3 are both short, so there's not as much content. Hope they do something like this for X-Men in the future, but it's not WB/DC.

I actually prefer Batman Beyond to Superman: TAS. BB: ROTJ is my fav. animated Batman movie all time.

About the X-Men thing. I think X-Men evolution is owned by WB. X-Men Evolution still has one season that hasn't been released on DVD. But you can catch X-Men: E on Hulu so who cares lol.

Part of X-Men the original animated series is on DVD and future volumes are going to be released soon.

Wolverine and the X-Men (the new X-men show on Nick) is getting a box set release:

http://tvshowsondvd.com/news/Wolverine-X-Men-Package-Details/12441

That is available on preorder on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B002LYD2K8...veASIN=B002LYD2K8&creative=373489&camp=211189

Don't know if that is all or part of season 1. I don't get the Nicktoon network or whatever channel that show is on.

I meant the X-Men one that Fox put out, with vol 3 and 4 coming out soon. And I did like Batman Beyond, although I'll admit that I hated it the first year or two it came out, but then I got past the fact that he's not really Batman, and then the show became enjoyable. I mean, he has next to no skill, and next to no detective skills, and relies on Bruce and his super high-tech suit.

I think I'm going to have to pre-order that Justice League set for $70, I don't see it dropping below that for some time. Anyone know on Amazon if they charge you now or when the item ships, I never pre-order because I am cheap so pardon the noob question, and I did check the Amazon site index but i couldn't find an answer.

The Batman set was really nice - I bought it for myself as a birthday present last year. If these are up to the same level of quality, I may have to go for one or both. :whistle2:k

My Superman set cost $1.50 - it came bundled with Batman Season 1 (which I ended up selling to one of my friends for half of the $3 they cost together). ;)

It was kind of a blind buy, since I loved the Batman series but never really watched the Superman one. I'm hooked on the show now - it may not be quite as good as Batman, but it's damn close.

The only thing that worries me about the Superman set is the number of discs. If seven discs across three seasons means what I think it does, the set's going to have double-sided DVDs.

If you use gift cards they charge immediately. However if you use a credit card I don't think they charge until the item ships.

Yea I get where you are coming from with training. In the commentary the creators address that lol. Bruce Wayne was the best part of the series. Loved seeing how he aged. The 1st season was the best and was easily equal to or better than any episode of Superman. Plus with JLU it really made BB a part of this huge continuity.

Yes 3 discs are double-sided. I've owned them for several years and haven't had any problems with them though.
I want them all, but damn, I'd be pissed if they got a Blu Ray treatment later on.
If they do get the Blu-Ray treatment they'll be far more expensive.
These numbers are based off the already released JL Season 1 Blu-Ray DVD.
JL/JLU will probably be like $110 discount
Superman will probably be like $60 discount
IPlus I wouldn't expect Blu-Ray sets anytime soon, though with WB you never know.
Pre-ordered both at Amazon....maybe they'll come down in price a bit before then.

Now to go look for BTAS:Complete.
Wise decision my friend. Don't forget the 2* $5 you'll get for your purchase, if you didn't get it yet.

(Really wish Chuck was apart of the downloads)

If they don't show up when they ship contact Amazon and they may just give you $10 gc.

So here is a question. Superman is 38 dollars for 1182 minutes. And JL is 70 dollars for 1144 minutes. Why is there such a large price difference? Was JL that much better of a show. I never watched JL, but loved Superman and I am about to pre-order that.

Considering I just need the last set of JLU and STAS, I'll probably pass on this. The only way I might consider getting the JL/U set is if that DC Universe special is like a 1 hour documentary.

Well JL/JLU was more recent, and comes in more discs (no double sided discs).
According to wiki
JL/JLU was 91 episodes
Superman 54 episodes

If you enjoyed Superman, you'll definitely enjoy JLU. Elements of Superman (Darkseid, Dr. Hamilton, Luthor) come back in a big way in JLU. There is also an amazing Superman/Captain Marvel story that I'm sure you'd love. JL/JLU is really the culmination to the entire DC Universe that began with Batman the animated series.

Yea the commentary will probably be something you can eventually see on youtube. The Complete Batman Animated Series bonus disc was nice but wasn't worth a repurchase. It was between 20-30 minutes.

So I haven't seen this anywhere else at CAG, but is Batman TAS being re-released? Deep Discount has the pre-order up for it and Amazon did, but they don't anymore. Here is the DD link.
http://www.deepdiscount.com/viewproduct.htm?productId=48547480

I missed it the first time and was pretty upset, but maybe I get a second chance. Does anyone have any additional information here?

Also, the pre-order from Warner Brothers is slightly cheaper on Superman and JL. I would imagine that Amazon.com would drop their prices below Warner at some point between now and the release date, since Amazon usually seems to have better prices.

No clue on the rerelease.

Buy.com has it available for preorder as well:

Thanks for the Wbshop info I updated the Op a bit. Wbshop usually has promotions/coupons too so the price could be even cheaper come Nov.

yeah i got the same batman set myne is still sealed as i also own the original 4 box sets but i will be getting the superman :)

FYI, the Wolverine and the X-Men set is only a compilation of the first three individual releases. This accounts for the first 13 episode of Season 1. There were 26 episodes in season 1 (a few have yet to air in the US). All episodes have aired in Canada and are available for download on some of those less than reputable BT sites (or so I've heard).

A complete season set is coming out in CA in September which would be viewable on R1 dvd players:

Will definitely buy a Batman Beyond set if it comes out. I think that series, and Mystery of the Batwoman are the only Timmverse things I'm missing.
