120Hz Sony/Samsung LCD Buy now or later

i want to get a 52" LCD but its crazy expensive so now im wondering should i wait til later in the year when all the new models that are 120Hz have hit the stores from all brands?

Also considering OLED will hit the market by 2010 in a size worth purchasing im sure that will drive LCD prices down.

Any suggestions would be great.

basically (as with any technology) the longer you wait, the better and cheaper it will become. if your waiting for the newest and best thing, a NEW best and newer thing will always be waiting, so you'll always be waiting for a TV.

I got myself a 37" vizio LCD to tide me over until the really expensive technologies (120hz, led backlighting, etc.) come down in price, I paid 500 for it, so in a few years I can probably sell it for 300 to a friend, or on craigslist and get something better. But I'm pretty happy with it, I play my 360 and watch a lot of hidef content on it with no problems and it looks great
 
thanks for the replies i have my mind set on an xbr4 so im just hoping i can see it at a price point of 2500 at least before i bite.
 
Those OLED's are insane, I would be surprised to see them come anywhere near affordable until a few years after they are released.
 
having recently purchased a samsung.. i would totally recommend it assuming youd actually have equipment that will take advantage of the tv.

And yea the longer you wait the better.
 
samsung is good as well, made in the same factory as sony, and the price difference between the xbr4 and sammy is only a hundred
