Pioneer 600W 5.1 Surround Sound System For XBOX 360 - HTS-GS1

I was stumbling around Walmart.com and came across this system..it's not top of the line but for the price, I think it is a good deal for the average gamer.

This same system was selling at Circuit City for $249.99.

Wal-Mart.com even has a new option were the shipping is free...they will ship to to your local Wally World and you can pick up for no shipping charge. :applause:

Link works for me.
whats so "for Xbox 360" about it?
It was designed with the 360 in mind.
Spend a little more a get a real system instead. You'll be happier in the long run.
Agreed. These for system surround sound systems are usually crap. And (this is cheapassgamer after all so t probably won't happen) never buy BOSE systems. They are overpriced for what they do and the speaker construction is usually very poor. There like the Cadillac of Audio systems, they may not make the best products but their name and advertising usually make up for that.

You can usually find a reasonable system for a good price.

Id highly suggest this setup instead of the onyko one... http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Sony...sem/rpsm/oid/174935/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do

After a 10% off AAA coupon that you can sign up to get through email its like 160 bucks. I bought this system and love the auto calibrate feature. It comes with a tiny microphone you attach to the receiver and put where the main area of listening will be (i.e. couch) and the system plays test tones that automatically adjust volume for each sattelite based on how far away from the mic they are. Very snazzy feature for the lazy :)
what exactly does that mean though?
M$ paid them to say that. I had a plain old RCA 27 inch crt. That was "xbox ready"

It had no speical ports or nothing. Just M$ paid them to stick their name on RCA tvs.

I posted this a little bit ago - post came and went....

I just wanted to mention that the site to store has taken about 2 weeks (almost) and just got an email about them saying pretty much - we have no clue what is going on - no idea where your stuff is - do you still want it? Kind of unfortunate actually.

so hopefully they get their act together on the site to store option - cuz it really hasn't been a good experience so far.

my 2 cents!
Cheers!

I'm looking for a setup with at least 2 fiber optic inputs. Does this have any? i can't seem to find the info.

yeah, mine has two fiber optic inputs and one digital input. i have my dvr and 360 using opticals.

Finally got my order from Walmart. So far - I am happy with the purchase, other than Walmart Site to Store being SLOW. I wasn't looking for something HUGE - so it is well worth the price. :) Just passing it along to any others. Cheers!
