Well the serial is probably separate but I dont know if it would register on steam, probably not Im guessing.

yes it does! you can also use a DualShock 3 or Sixaxis with motioninjoy 360 emulation.

Under the system requirements it states that an online Steam account is required. Is that referring to Steamworks?

Thanks for the heads-up on Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light! I snagged a copy from the link a moment ago. I loved the demo on Steam and felt that this was a wonderfully refreshing take on the Tomb Raider games. Frankly, I hope there are more Tomb Raider games like this in the future.

FYI, here's a tip from me after purchasing LC:GoL from GameStop's digital download store:

After purchasing the game, don't bother with downloading and using the small "LaraCroftGofL-dm.exe" file to download your game. You can easily copy the registration key from your order's confirmation email and registering it through Steam. Simply click on "Games" in the Steam client, then "Activate a Product on Steam." Your game should immediately start downloading.​

Oh, and the PC version has been patched to version 1.02 and includes the following fixes and improvements:

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light version 1.01
Included in the patch:

• Online Co-Op play added! Play online with your friends as either Lara or Totec.
• Improvements to in-game mouse/keyboard and gamepad controls
• Improvements to overall performance and stability
• Additional audio and visual polish

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light Patch 1.02:

• This patch fixes the bug in online co-op play where for people playing Totec, Lara keeps shooting in the same direction.
