$170 Vitas at Meijer Saturday (using mperks discount)

CAGiversary!
For Midwesteners...

If you're signed up for Meijer's free mperks program, one of the coupons you virtually 'clip' is a "15% off general merchandise" offer which ends Saturday .

My Meijer is still buried in the 3G/Wifi (launch?) model with the included 8 GB memory card.  The store hadn't revised it down from $299 to $199 yet, but their website had, making for a headache-free price adjustment.  Then the coupon automatically works after you key in your info on the checkout touchscreen.

If I'm not mistaken, this is the same sku that just that one Best Buy put on clearance for $150 a couple of weeks ago, generating a bit of excitement. but this time this deal might very well be accessible to many.   And there obviously will be a guaranteed supply of the standard wifi-only models for the same price at Meijer, too.

The price adjustment to the website is ymmv. When o used to work at meijer we were always told to tell customers that the website is different than in store. That is unless they've changed the policy since I left there which is very possible they like to change a lot lol.

Here's what you do (the smart way). Go to Meijer, buy a bunch of Kindle Gift Cards, use the 15% off, then redeem at Amazon, buy the Vita at Amazon using those Kindle cards. Since Amazon doesn't charge tax in many states, you get the Vita with no tax applied

Normally true, but Amazon's not the place to go if you actually want that 3G/Wifi bundle new.

Does the 15% work on Kindle cards? Not sure if they do.

My coupon says this

"No cash back. Limit one coupon per transaction. Excludes: Grocery, Household Consumables, Alcohol, Tobacco, Health and Beauty Care, Prescriptions, Gift Cards, Gas Station & C-Stops, Lottery, Postage, Park & Entertainment Tickets, Prepaid Debit Cards & Reload Packs, Instore Businesses, Online Purchases, Licenses, Taxes, Previous Purchases, Meijer Extended Protection Plans and Bottle Deposit."

Kindle cards are considered general merchandise. These are not the same as Amazon gift cards, but can still be used on anything on Amazon.

Still regional? There are some decent deals I've seen, but stores won't price match or ad match it here.

DETROIT?? why would they do that, aren't they in the business to make money?
Because citizens in Detroit still have money and need Grocery Stores. Meijer is cheaper then some of the local grocery stores so I welcome them to Detroit.

Hey thanks! Just moved to an area with a Meijer so I am not familiar with their policies. Picked up $300 in cards for $255. I shop at Amazon a lot for general stuff with subscribe and save so this is 15% on top of the 15% AT Amazon.

they have one that lets you pick any amount between 15 and 500.

^really?

I've only seen 25 and 50

Yeah they had one card left at the store I was at which was a chargeable card where you could put up to $500 on it. I was not sure if that would work so I bought 6 $50 cards instead. It should be noted that the 15% only works one time so you need to have all your cards on one transaction.
