$19.99 new wavebird controllers at GS
not many people still use gamecube systems.... $19.99 is kind of expensive
Regardless of whether you're using a GCN system, Wavebirds can be used to play GCN, VC, and select Wii games on Wii systems. That price isn't even close to expensive for a Wavebird. They go for around $60 on the second hand market if still sealed.

QFT... sold a few on ebay at around 100 a pair... they only cost me 15 apiece

I really don't know why Nintendo chose to stop supplying these...obviously the demand is there...

When Brawl comes out...oh man...
i dont believe the Wavebird is compatible with Wii... :(
My weekly Melee matches would beg to differ.

Are you kidding me? I'm in desperate need for more Wavebirds. The 3 my family are using will die sooner or later and then the GC games will be near unplayable (and they get about 50% of the game time in my household vs all the other systems).
i dont believe the Wavebird is compatible with Wii... :(
Well, I can't dispute the fact that you believe that, but I can say for certain that your belief is wrong. As I said before, Wavebirds work on all Wii systems and can be used to play GCN, VC and select Wii games. That is simply fact.

Good deal.

Also to anyone interested I was able to grab 2 used Wavebirds from my local GS for $7.99 each. They were both marked as "Gamecube wireless controller other" or something like that.
I'm not sure if all used Wavebirds are that price but it's a good deal, especially considering that the two I got looked almost new.
pics or it didnt happen
Shut the fuck up.

Now then, thanks OP! $20 is a great deal for these, and considering I don't want to move my Wii like I did my GC to play games, these will be very helpful. The EB/GS item search seems to be down right now, so looks like I will have to wait until later to see if there are any around me.

my bad, i will take your word for it. I heard hearsay so i assume that other person was wrong. Which ultimately made me look like a noob. I must murder him/her.

Thanks for correcting me though.
*insert gay comment here* i saw these just the other day and they were 34.99 at eb/gs
You certainly failed to mention that in your other post. You were doubting the OP's credibility with nothing to base your speculation off of. Oh and thanks for the PM:
you shut the shaq up you eh hole
And I said "Shut the fuck up" to you because, well, almost all your posts are crap and are a retarded reply or have nothing to do with the topic at hand.

I know it is a bit redundant...but I also want to please request the 6 digit sku so I can just look up the inventory online without having to call the already annoyed GS employees in my area.
7.99, wow. I got one a few months back for 17.99 and thought it was a steal
I think that was a typo on his part- I just saw a used Wavebird at a local GS for $17.99(I didn't pick it up because the control stick was missing).

Wow, another +1 to your spam count, oh and my ignore list!(finally)

As far as the topic goes, the new Wavebird isn't online at all, not even it being hidden by being backordered. Not sure if matters once you have the SKN, but the wireless controller link if anyone cares: http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=900532 . (Not guaranteed to be a Wavebird, but may include a Wavebird?)

To explain my earlier post furhter:

GS lumps their used Wireless Gamecube controllers under a single SKU, "Wireless Gamecube controller - Any"

So what may have happened is:

1) GS dropped the retail price of Wavebirds to $20
2) That particular GS listed the Wavebirsds as new, generic wireless controllers
3) Nationwide all GSes are lumping all wireless gamecube controllers under one SKU and price, including new Wavebirds.

great info. op i want to see pics of the gs sticker on your wavebird player. that way you can tell if it was listed under the correct sku and when it was put up for sale/traded in. ive come across some ds lite cases that are sealed new but the computer recognized the barcode as used so it was priced that way.

sorry about the wait...i didn't get in until right now.

I stopped at the GS and asked why they were cheap. As of Friday, they bumped all wireless GC controllers to $20, generic and wavebird, as they were trying to get rid of the stock. I didn't speak to the manager, so I'm not sure if it's YMMV...but I think it's universal.

I have the receipt and box with SKU, I'll get those up tomorrow after class.

yeah, the problem is, if they still have the stock.

I found 4 wired GC controllers for $20/a piece at Wal-Mart and thought that was a steal. That was the first time I saw a new 1st party GCN controller anywhere in literally months. I bought them all...then returned them the next day. The deal was less-than-spectacular the more I thought about it, and really...I want some damn Wavebirds.

I didn't want to click and see what you said, but I just had to see what stupid comment you would make. You little bitch, you call me a rookie? I posted a link that would have helped someone looking for a used wavebird. All you have done is add your little trolling comments, pretending you are something great, when, oh yea, you are still a noob around here, and I doubt you will ever change, as your writing skills have proved. So just shut the fuck up, and go post your spam comments somewhere else. As you have posted your useless input here without even keeping on topic.

As for the deal new info on the deal, this is great! I may just have to go out tomorrow and see what my two local GSs have in stock. Thanks again OP!

if you dont know how to do a search on eb.com for any sku (including the sku for new wavebirds) then you ARE a rookie. it looks like this assclown http://www.gamestop.com/productavail.asp?miles=50&sku=801393&zip=xxxxx put your zipcode instead of xxxxx. consider yourself chocked

Lol @ this thread.

I look for Wavebirds every time I go to GS hoping someone would trade one. Alas, never see one.

I always see Wavebirds at a couple Gamestops when I make my rounds... they're all lumped in the generic wireless category, as mentioned earlier. Too bad the used Wavebirds always have poop/chili encrusted around the sticks.

I was lucky when I preordered Phoenix Wright 3 - I found a pristine Wavebird for $17.99!

I do recall finding new Wavebirds at TRU for $34.99 though.
