1up rates first 14 VC titles
Definitely. They totally killed potential "impule" purchases with the pricing structure. Who's going to take a gamble on a 15 year old game for $8?
I agree. They're missing out on easy profits because they're letting the Live Arcade price structure be their guide. I'm not paying $10 for M64, no matter how "classic" it is, when I've bought it for the N64 and DS. You can sucker me twice repacking old games, but not three times (hey, at least I didn't bite on the NES re-releases for the GBA).

I've got 2000 Wii Points to burn, but I'm not burning them on games I've seen over and over again on different Nintendo media or games that may have suspect emulation or may not be much fun. They could get a ton of impulse buys, especially from old gamers, if they'd halve their prices. It will never be.

As a result, I'd imagine the VC will be used mainly by discriminating gamers looking for so-called classics, rare finds previously available through import only, or long-forgotten favorites. I doubt thee VC gets much business at all from the new customers Nintendo is courting with the "Blue Ocean" strategy.
Yes, you can set 2 players to controllers and the rest to computer control.
ty :)
Nintendo will smoke a turd in hell if they don't release Kirby's Dream Course relatively soon.
They will, it's in a list of 20 VC games that recently got ratings.

I would love to see some new original games for the VC system or games from the GBA that never really got going. What about Ninja Five-O? Drill Dozer? I can't wait to try some flash games on the Wii with the controller. I hope they work well. Nintendo should really support this and pack out there VC with games. Pricing is a little weird considering so many collection disc out there. I wonder if they will have "arcade" versions too.

Just reminds me that you are going to see the end of the compliation disc that thrived in the last generation. Instead you will see the same content spewed out to cost 4 times the ammount. Look at say Midway Arcade Hits, those games instead of costing $20 for the package would cost around $80 if you bought each game.

Hopefully Nintendo might lower some of the pricing if people just don't buy them.
"The original Zelda feels like it should be played on a system released 20 years ago. The graphics look dated. The controls feel tacked on. They should be on a clonky old controller with only 2 buttons and a D-pad, not a classic controller or Gamecube Controller."
They can be on a clonky old controller - turn your wiimote sideways, with the D pad on the left. It will closely resemble the NES controller, and indeed, this setup WORKS with NES games.

I realize this, it was poking fun at the Zelda:TP review.
This Virtual Console is a damn rip-off, especially the Genesis games considering what SEGA just released for the PS2:

Sega Genesis Collection for PS2.
29 Sega Genesis games for $19.99
http://ps2.ign.com/articles/746/746321p1.html
Enjoy those collections while they last, because I think we've seen the last of them now that the Wii is here.

Companies would rather charge $8 per game than $20 for 29 games.

Especially since they don't even have to press discs and ship the game. Hopefully this sort of profitable business model will encourage more developers to jump on so we have a better VC selection of games.

A ton of developers HAVE jumped on... we're just not seeing them in the US for some reason.
I really want them to make a Sega Saturn section. Maybe even Sega CD and 32x for the hell of it
Seriously.

Who wouldn't buy the Panzer Dragoon games, Nights, Sonic CD, etc??

And I'm probly the only one, but I want Knuckles Chaotix dammit!

Its the ONLY Sonic game that isn't playable SOMEHOW on a Wii/Gamecube right now.

(besides the PS3/360 Sonic or the old SEGASonic The Hedgehog arcade game)

Then I say we buy every sega game that is released to show Sega major support!! (Ok we can skip Altered Beast...)

Truthfully, I think that is how we can get these other console games up on there. I don't care much for Jaguar, or 3DO, or CDi, or even classic Atari Games. It's really the Sega systems that are left that need to be added ASAP!!

Excluding Dreamcast. Reason being that the games would probably be too large. Sega Saturn and everything below is what we need.

Sega Saturn support would make me cry. Panzer Dragoon...NiGHTS...Gaurdian Heroes...Sonic R (I have fond memories).... mmmmmm.

I still remember some of the vocal tracks from Sonic R...

I'm kinda angry now that Saturn isn't on it! Ok, the Wii has been out a WEEK .. but still :)

Who do we write to?!

I'd pay $10 each for Saturn Games, anyone else?

Zelda 1 NES may be a classic, but I'd toss it in a heartbeat for Okami, just as I would toss Wolf3D for HL2. Part of progress is making games that are simply better in every conceivable way. Call that unfair if you wish, but I think it is unfair to try to convince a gamer to spend time with the formers when they could be spending time with the latter.

Now, if we were talking Kirby Super Star...

I bought Zelda, no problems with it not coming with a map...

What, none of you kept your "Official Nintendo Player's Guide"? What the fuck were you thinking? Sheesh. Good luck beating me at a Pro Wrestling or Ice Hockey. Well, at least I'm covered so long as this "Contra" game doesn't come out. From my constant reading of the Player's Guide it looks to be difficult. I'm sure there'll be a cheat code or something. Maybe someone will get some action replay codes out there for it...

Sonic R was included on the Sonic Gems Collection for Gamecube!

(I also secretly like Sonic R.....A LOT! *hides*)
