Just wanted to comment on the hoarders business... yes you can lock up the boards, make it members-only, etc., but they will always find a way. They'll sign up and never post, get it from their friends, etc. While I find a lot of deals here I'll never find on RFD, those are all the YMMV deals where I'd have to really go out of my way to find. RFD is more for the general population, like the EBG deals. With more people comes more hoarding and such. Here it's a much smaller community, so word doesn't tend to get out as fast.
The people I hate the most are those who expect all info to be handed to them on a silver platter. e.g. the EBG deal: "When does it end, what's the TIV, where do I buy games, etc." I got so annoyed I made a FAQs. We're here to tell you about the deal. We're not doing all the footwork as well.
It's always a first-come first-served basis for everything. That's life. Take advantage of it first, share it with your friends, and ALWAYS buy first. That's why they have return policies. =D
Frankly, you wouldn't have people upselling on ebay/craigslist if people weren't willing to pay a premium price. I look at the Wiis selling for $400 and I shake my head, yet they still sell.
A little OT, but the funniest posting I saw was someone trying to trade a BNIB Wii "plus a little cash" for a BNIB 360 Elite.
True, but by locking it up, there will be less hoarders, as some hate logging in there personal info, e-mail, just to log on to CAG. The Main CAG Board is working on trying to make it harder to register, don't know if CheapD did that, but I think the US CAGers are more worried, cuz they got more hoarders to prevent from entering. I'm sure the majority of us who joined CAG are in it for teh cheap games to play mostly than making a profit. I know I'm just a gamer who looks for bargains and helping the odd CAGer out with games, and not hoarding it and selling it on ebay, etc.
