2 Month Live Card included with ESPN 2K5

I got a copy of ESPN 2K5 today from EB. (Day early thanks to preorder) and included with it was a 2 month trial for XBox Live.
ESPN at 19.99 + 2 months free Live = SWEET DEAL!

and that wouldn't be much of a deal beacuse those are $50 a pop.

Instead get the other 2k5 titles for $20 and you'd get 6 months of live for $60 instead of 6 months for $120

Most likely it's a trial but I can't be sure since I wasn't able to get a copy from EB or GameRush.

They are trial cards, and cannot be used to extend your current XBL subscription.

My understanding was you could use the 2 month card to extend your subscription. I've been misled by people I know then. Sorry about the confusion.

Yeah, those are trial cards, and come with each and every Xbox Live game released in the past year or so. Can't use them to extend a subscription.

Does anybody know if the expired 2-month trial cards are still any good?? I still have one from CounterStrike but it said it expired a couple months ago. I guess I could always call MS but I would rather not go through all that trouble first.

expired cards will not work. you can simply try it and it'll tell you the code is invalid. Also, all 2 month cards are trial cards, after the 2 month it'll automatically start charging you. You have to call to discontinue the service.

I didn't get a 2 month trial card in my copy, I got some Game Sqaud Challenge card that looks like a game ticket!!
It is for some contest and a subscription to ESPN magazine!!!

My 2 month trial is over tomorrow. Can I use my 3 month subscripton to extend it? I just want to make sure that they don't charge $50 to my dad's CC.

just try it, it should tell you whether you can or not. I doubt it'll let you though
