Apparently, there are two overlapping promotions underway at BestBuy for those 7 dvd titles I've listed above. You can only select two titles and one free $10 giftcard per order, but of course, you can make multiple orders if you so desire. Cheers!

Very sweet deal. Got the two Kill Bills (for blu-ray upgrade rebates) and the two disney movies (mainly for the DMR points).

you have to add the giftcard at the bottom of the "$10 giftcard promotion" page. If you do not add it to your cart you will not get the giftcard.

Also, there are only few titles with free $10 gift card. So, it doesn't apply to all.
 
Basically you guys have to make sure the DVD you are looking at has the 2/$12 promo and the $10 GC promo next to the listing AND add the giftcard to your cart at the bottom of the page.

Thanks for pointing out those two worked as well. I bought those 2, as I was meaning to see both at some point. It was a little strange using my gift card to buy a gift card and dvds, but a great deal. I wish some of the other gift card ones were in this double sale. Dr. Strangelove for $1 would have been amazing,
 
I went to pick up my order and the guy only had me sign one receipt (I bought 2 of each kill bill). I said "isn't there another receipt for me to sign?" and the guy says "oh there's 2 orders?". He didn't even say thank you or anything. Could have had 2 free DVDs if I had less character.
 
Dumb question , but would getting the 5 for $25 still allow you to get the gift card?

Example : I get Kill Bill 1 + 2 , which qualifies me for the gift card , but also get The Rocketeer , Clerks and Waterboy which are only part of the 2 for $12/5 for $25. So would I be able to get all 5 for $25 plus the $10 gift card?

If so , I'm thinking I could cull together 2 orders of 5 for $25 dvds with gift cards and end up with 10 dvds for only $30.
 
Just did O Brother and Good Will Hunting. Considering getting the Kill Bill movies as well. Trying not to spend money.....damn it.

correct, but if you look at Kill Bill it has both the 2/$12 buy it and the $10 gc. So it should work, but doesn't. The main part of this thread was the double dipping.
 
When I placed my order the double dip worked. Most likely Best Buy realized what they were offering and pulled it back. If you place the two dvd's in the cart, they go to $6 apiece. But then when you add the gift card, it is not comped at the free price.

It worked for me on Sunday. Most likely changed since then
 
picked up KB 1&2 when this started... not too shaby even shipped it's only 16.. 8 each for good movies.

I'll probably use the GC on a video game purchase!
 
I have both Kill Bills in my cart, along with the gift card, and it's not taking the $10 off for the gift card, the total being $22.XX before tax and shipping, am I doing something wrong here?
 
no, bb caught onto what people were doing and changed the settings behind the scene so it will not work anymore unless they change something else later. i would consider this deal dead for now online anyway, if you can get this instore, great.
 
I did two orders on Sunday and the GC showed up both orders at no extra cost. I received one email saying that one GC was on the way and was a little worried until today when I got my second email about my second GC being on the way!

Me too, thanks OP!! Had to call their online # it wouldnt let me discount the Gift Card...
 
Had the same problem with gift card being charged. Put the orders though. Just got off the phone with CSR and got $10 refunds on my orders.
 
call 1-888-best-buy and press 1 and then 2 and ask to speak to someone about ordering dvds. you can then give them the skus of the dvds you want and they will put the order through and they can set it for instore pickup and you will still get the $12 with $10 gift card. have fun.
