Halo Reach (legendary or limited edition) at Amazon

I think walmart has the best deal because you can use the $20 gift card right away instead of waiting until it ships.

Speaking of Walmart, I'm confused how that system works if you want to return the game? They let you use the credit immediately, but what happens if you do and then need to return the game for some reason? Does it just automatically subtract that amount? Just seems weird to me.

I just ordered the Legendary Edition at Amazon and the $20 credit applied to my account instantly and is immediately usable.

Did they charge you for the game already, then? If not I'd have to assume they will if you were to use the code before the game ships. Otherwise that would be a painfully obvious exploit.

They only refund you the amount minus the value of the gift card.

No, I haven't been charged. This is not the first time Amazon has applied credits instantly for me for a game that doesn't come out until a few months later. Last time they applied the credit early I ended canceling whatever it was I had pre-ordered about a month and a half later and I was not charged for the credit I had used.
