$20 games B1G1 free at KMart TUESDAY ONLY

Went to KMart today and they had a flier in their window (unrelated to what was in their Sunday circular) regarding something called a "Take 2 Tuesday," or something like that. Among the deals was "Buy 2 for $20 on select $19.99 videogames." I asked in electronics if they knew which games, and they didn't, but when I walked over there, everything behind the glass case was ticketed at more than $20, and everything that was $20 or less was sitting loose on shelves on the opposite side of the aisle from the glass case. It was almost exclusively PC/GH/etc. stuff, plus assorted Gameboy games. I saw that VJ2 was among the games behind glass and still ticketed at $39.99, but since it was purchased by many CAGs for $10 at the last 50% weekend sale, maybe it's supposed to be ticketed at $19.99 and therefore might be eligible for the sale.

This was at the KMart in Baraboo, Wis., but it was clearly a nationally designed flyer.

If this is B1G1 free, then this is an awesome sale. Maybe I'll finally pick up Kingdom Hearts, and something else. I wish I knew what it included.... Eh, thanks for the heads up man.

since i will be close to the only KMART here in the city i might drop in and check this out tomorrow. then again i might not :) its probally just all freaking junk but then again i could always run to the pawn shop right next to the Kmart so it might be worth the time.

Well, Sgt. Smartass, it is in there, if you buy two games. If you just buy one, then no, it's not.
 
If anyone finds out about any non-GH/PH/PC games on this sale, please post them. Blinx 2 was also on the latest 50 percent of sale, so I'm wondering if that is also on the list.

Edit: Okay, just came back from the big K. Unfortunately, the regular guy wasn't there and no one knew anything about a sale. But that's not suprising since K-mart employees aren't necessarily the most well informed individuals. I guess I'll have to wait until tomorrow to find out.

For those Cag's with GF's they also have a 70% off jewelry sale so it's a good excuse to get her to okay a purchase. ;)

It sounds like no one will know which games until tomorrow, and by the time someone reports their finds it might be too late to go (since it's only a one-day only sale). Plus, it's always YMMV as which game your local Kmart has. So I'd say your best bet is to check it out yourselves tomorrow instead of waiting.

Bah. That's what I get for planning. All the games I listed above are not part of the sale, nothing on that shelf I saw was. What was on sale ($20 games, B1G1 free, to confirm the OP) was a small bin of game. There were a few GBA videos, F-Zero GX (GC), LotR: Two Towers (PS2), Jak & Daxter (PS2), the Sims (PS2), Rogue Ops (PS2), and some more that I can't really recall.
 
It would be great if we could get a few more reports on this. I won't be home until around 5ish, so I can't check in until then.
 
I just got back from Kmart. Yes the buy 1 get 1 free deal is going on. But, they only have a tiny bin of games on the counter. I didn't buy anything but here is what I remember.

I found a ton of 19.99 games back in electronics that I wanted but they are not part of the sale.

No...they would only be special if they were part of the sale. They are the usual $20 games like Viewtiful Joe 2.

The only thing I saw of interest were CD / DVD storage racks were 40% off.

what i mean is junk is that you can get these games mostly all the time on sale for 2 for 25 or maybe less. nothing worth buying .. if it was it wouldnt be sitting on the same place for the last 3 months
 
Went to the one in the City, no luck. The Lady told me "Oh it was probably CC" They never know schnit...

Just to let you know, 2 for $20 is 20% less than 2 for $25. And 2 for $25 doesn;t happen too often.
 
At the Orem, Utah Kmart all of the games that I saw on sale were just marked $9.99 and you didn't have to buy 2 to get the deal. I picked up .hack Outbreak (that's part 3 of the .hack series) for $10.

I've got a terrible memory and I don't remember what else they have except Beyond Good and Evil because I was tempted to get it (even though I've already finished it and traded my copy away). I do remember they have several copies of Reel Fishing III for $1.99 each.
 
I went, and they had a few titles marked as "$10.00 today only." Almost got Hitman 2, then realized that by the time I get around to playing it, it'll be $6 used at EB. The original Splinter Cell is there, if you don't have it.

Hmm....might actually be worth going and checking this out now. I've been wanting the .hack game for a very long times and I don't care which order I get them in.

got there 10 minutes before they closed, and the lady told me they didnt have a list, and that most of the games that were part of the sale were already gone...anyway, she told me to pick out whatever I wanted that was priced at $19.99...she then walked me up to the register where each scanned for $19.99, at which point she tells the CSR to override the price to make them $10 each... I ended up with:

Full Spectrum Warrior (XBOX) NON PH Copy
ESPN MLB 2K5 (XBOX)
Zelda: Windwaker (GC) PC
Pokemon Colosseum (GC) NON PC Copy

if I knew she was going to override everything that rang up for $19.99, I probably would have walked out with much more than I did.

Grrr.... I went this evening, 2 little kids in tow, and they had a paltry selection - ones they've had on sale at each of the sales the last few months. I asked the guy to scan a few others like Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy X and he just said "no, those are $19.99". But just to be sure he also rang up one of the ones in the tote at the cash register that was supposed to be part of the sale and it apparently said "2 for $20" on his register when he rang it up. So I'd say you definitely lucked out - they were only supposed to sell a select group at that price.

I did get some Easter baskets with cars and candy for $2.50 each for the boys though!
