This comes from the Wii GB over at IGN in this post (IGN Insiders only). A CC employee posted there talking about an email that was sent out with a $20 off $20 coupon for games/game accessories. His post:

I have a coupon for Circuit, I work there so I might as well share the wealth, that will get you $20 off any game or game accessorie priced over $20. This makes RE4 only $9.99 what an awesome deal! I can put up copies of the coupon if everyone would like, but they are kinda blurry. All that is necessary is the promo code because the people at the register can manually run it. The promo code is:

COU 70Y41SC00000015154

I hope everyone enjoys the savings =)

As far as using the code, the OP added that if you do bring the code to an employee, giving the letters COU is essential, as:

ooh, and BTW, the COU infront of the numbers is necessary, CC's register system needs a 3 digit for a brand or company before the code can be entered, any customer service person should know this but by giving them those 3 you are reassuring them that the code is real and making it less likely for you to run into trouble. I can't guarntee all stores will be as hassle free as mine so I appologize if they give you any trouble. I will get that copy for everyone asap though.

The thread is going back and forth waiting for the OP to get a better scan, but at least one person has reported going to CC and giving the code and getting it to work on a Wii game.

This might end up being nothing and is as YMMV as it gets, but I figured I'd post it here before SD/FW got it, as, if it is working, your best bet is probably to do it sooner rather than later in case CC shuts it down.

I'll post here again/update the OP if a better scan shows up.

Awesome, thanks for the tip.

Heading out to CC tomorrows anyway...Ill want to pick up RE4 at that price.

ill stay up and if true, I'll swing by CC tmmrw

reading the coupon it looks like either a new employee gaming program, or a game club thingy for the public.

offer also excludes 360 HD DVD player as well as 120 gig hard drive. Sounds like it may work for point cards.

The coupon says this is a club or whatever for associates. That probably means if you have a cashier that can read it may not work. Of course, they may wonder where you got the coupon in the first place or wonder if you work at another location. Lots of questions.

I may give this a whirl. Good luck everybody.
Hmm...think this will stack with the $20 off with 2 wii games thing? (if that is still going on....)

Welcome to City Game, take your order preez

May as well use the coupon that was remade and is posted in the OP.

I won't be able to head out until Sunday anyway, so I look forward to reports of how this is going for everyone.

It's not exactly coupon fraud as it IS a legit code and what not and none of the actual information is being altered. It's merely the design that's different.

Isn't altering a coupon in general fraudulant....even if it is just the design?

I have insider. In 2 pages of new posts since yesterday afternoon, one person said they got it to work.

The OP on IGN said it is from an employee gamers email, but it works for anyone. He said he was going to try and get a better copy to scan today when he went to work.

Heres to hoping! :bouncy:

I cant really print it out....but Ill just say that I got this coupon code from an email from Circui City.

If they wont accept it....then o well..

Im heading out right now and ill report back in a couple of hours...
Does anyone else besides the OP have IGN Insider? Would like to know what's going on in that thread right now.
People reporting it working, using the story that their printer was out of ink and just giving the code, or just giving the code. . . the OP over there say he is going to try to get a better scan up. . .

I knew I should have befriended my coworker's brother (ASM at my local CC). Ah well, not sure I will bother trying to get a cashier to manually input a coupon code.

I have to input codes all the time, its not like its hard or anything. Just give it to them and if it wont scan, they will input it manually.

I say print out the crappy scan the best you can. Explain it is an e-mail and your printer sucks. They should enter it in for you. If not, don't buy the product and leave, no harm done, but it is definitely worth an attempt for the value.

Which then makes a lot of things free.

I will try this later. What are you folks planning on picking up with it?

360 and Wii points cards are the obvious pick for me, but I am sure I can justify some Wii, DS and 360 titles that will be $10 or less.

I think this would be fantastic for about any DS title. Using it for Wii points cards that retail at 19.99 is probably going to get the code cancelled.
Tax?
I think they do it before tax, not sure.

Could get some cheapppp 360 games.

Yeah, it would be pre-tax cost.
