I picked up a couple cheap games (The Bard's Tale and GTA: VC) and one cheasp movie (Good Night and Good Luck) all for under $20 shipped. Really good deal. Thanks for passing it along.

Thanks, OP. Picked up Hellboy 3-disc directors cut for $3.37 shipped. I saw it at Wal-mart last night for $9.44 and was tempted to pick it up.

Son of a mother... I bought it a WM about a month ago. Oh well, still worth the $10.

Can someone elaborate on the conditions of their used DVDs?

Seeing as how they don't accept scratched DVDs from sellers, can I assume DVDs ordered will be scratch-free?

EDIT: hmm, then I run a web search and find this (it's one person's experience but it does factor in whether I should buy or not from secondspin. Yes, there are positive reviews for secondspin, but there's also negatives as well). It seems like a double standard. They require absolute mint condition, scratch free product from sellers but it's a hit or miss if you're the buyer.

I recently placed an order with Secondspin.com, and was EXTREMELY UNHAPPY with the results.

5 of the 6 cd's I ordered were scratched and marred. Now according to their policy of what you can sell to them all "discs must be in good shape without scratches". But apparently they dont feel that they should follow their own guidelines.

Also the cd's were sent with no jewel cases even though again their buy policy states "US & Canadian customers MUST include jewel cases". Again they do not follow their own policy.

When I e-mailed them to express my dissatisfaction with the order, the response I got was as follows"

"All of the CDs that we sell are used. We guarantee them to play but we do
not guarantee them to be in "mint" or "near-mint" condition. Acceptable
amounts of wear and signs of use include but are not limited to light
scratches that do not effect the play of the CD, small drill-marks, saw
marks, and punched bar-codes. We also do not differentiate between
BMG/Music Club items and general issue albums."

Even though none of these "conditions" are available anywhere on their website.

So now if I decide I no longer want these cd's at some point, I won't be able to sell them to anyone because of the deplorable condition they are in.

I don't know if the positive reviews are from people that just got lucky or if they have no concers for quality. But since 5 of the 6 cd's I ordered were unnacceptable, it seems to be a consistant quality problem.

But I would say BUYER BEWARE! If you are looking for quality cd's, DO NOT shop at secondspin.com.

I just ordered a few DVDs from them using this code. Thanks for the heads up! I guess we'll see what kind of condition they're in when they arrive...

Do the DVDs always come with box / packaging? I'm tempted to order a few things but worried they will show up in a generic case.

yes, they come in their original packaging.

well the sales' over and from it i got Final Fantasy X (cuz the past 2 copies i've had have either broken or been scratched to hell), Castle of Cagliostro (2-Disc), and Galaxy Railways Vol. 1 w/collector's box...hopefully they won't cancel THIS order as they did my order for Beck Vols. 5 and 6...have to call up CS today and figure out what to do.

wow, Sailor Moon: Super S Box Set (9 Left) is on the front page...some anime collector should pick it up. 900 minutes of girl power.... go go go Geneon is out of business.

Picked up:
Basilisk LE 4, 5, 6 for $15.45

def going to get a bunch of stuff from this sale...already bought Halo 3 Limited Edition Tin for $25 after 20% off...and i only paid about $8.50 in cash for it thx to FYE credit (now down to under $300) (i know i brag all the time but i just find it AMAZING that i only have to pay that amount in cash)

well bought teen titans season 1 and 3 + roger and me for 20.36. Forgot to pick up the titans season last time they had a sale. The free shipping helps make it worth it. The tax thing is kinda lame though
Crappy sell tax, this is the INTERNETS we dont do tax.
Second Spin is part of Trans World Entertainment, which has retail stores in many states (if not all of them). If they have a retail location in a state they have to charge sales tax.
