Just for helping, take 20% off any product from ImpulseDriven.com.

Sorry if this has already been posted, I did a quick search and didn't find anything.

Also, I don't know if I should make a separate post or something, but I also subscribe to Newegg's newsletter, mostly for the computer hardware deals, but today there were some cheap ass games as well. Link: http://promotions.newegg.com/NEemail/Sep-0-2009/HALO24/index-landing.html

How is Impulse? Been using Steam for a long time and started using D2D for the $5 sale. Does it at least stay on par with with the download speeds of those services?

Impulse is pretty nice. Doesn't have as many games as Steam, but the library of games is growing bit by bit. The client only needs to be running when patching a game, so that means you can play a game without opening the client. Stardock is also a really cool company that makes great games and is on the side of PC gamers with stuff like the Gamer's Bill of Rights and having absolutely no DRM on any of their games. So by buying through Impulse, you support those actions.

The download speeds are the fastest of any download services. With steam, the fastest I've ever gotten is about 1.1mb/sec. But that's rare. On Impulse, I've gotten close to 2mb/sec every time I download something.

Wow, good to here that they are certainly bringing something to the table, and cool that I can actually drive to where the HQ is. (Kinda felt like throwing the latter in there.)

Impulse is my favorite of the three digital stores I've used (Steam and D2D are the others); it doesn't have Steam's community features (yet), but the download speeds are amazing, the client is designed far better than Steam, and the DRM is kept to an absolute minimum. I've only used D2D for one game a year or two ago; back then it was uninspiring.
