If you do in-store pickup, is it possible to use a GGC or not, since you'd have already paid for the item in full?

If you've already paid for the item, how can you use the GGC?

BB.com orders for in-store pickup are invalid for the following:

1) GGC combinations, as well as other coupons, except for McD's BB Bucks, which had to be used on the order at time of order.
2) Use of the Reward Zone card for points. (Supposedly fixed in the future)

If you return the item and try to get them to use the BB.com price for the B&M purchase, it wouldn't work. If the website price is different versus the B&M price, they don't change it to match the website, unless you get a nice or dumb customer service rep.

That is a great deal on the Xbox Live startup kit. I wonder when they will offer Halo 2 with it? Maybe next spring?

Damn I've been waiting for a CC or BB.com sale so I could get a Wavebird for $25, but $28 for a Wavebird? Thats not much of a deal. BB.com doesn't have free shipping on everything anymore do they?

Is the Pelican Accessories GameCube G3 Wireless Controller any good? At $15.99, it isn't a bad price for a wireless controller, but I'm not sure about the quality.

Actually, that's the wireless controller that I bought. I have 3 of them right now and this will round out of the set. I'm actually impressed with the quality of these controllers. The one thing it has over the Wavebird is that it is a little smaller and it has rumble (you can enable it or disable it). The rumble is a little weak, but at least it's there if you want it.

Bah, $5 shipping for a cable that's $8 after discount, I hate that. Oh well, decent sale nonetheless, just wish I could find something that I want...

The PS2 headset for 23.99 is tempting since I have my new PStwo and can go online, but I have not online games for the PS2 so I am not sure that I wanna pull the trigger. Do alot of the PS2 online games support voice chat?

Why not just choose in store pickup (assuming you have a BB near you)?

You just answered your own question :) . Actually there's a Bestbuy right by where I work (where I'm posting this from, in fact...), but it says the store doesn't have any in-stock so I can't do an in-store pickup from there. And the next closest Bestbuy is 70 miles away...no thanks, I'd spend more money on gas than I would on shipping.

Gotcha, that sucks. Although mine said they had the controller I bought in stock but it's been about 3 hours and I still haven't received the in store pickup confirmation email.
Nevermind, the GC to GBA cable is 11.99 even after the 20%, my hopes are shot.
It's always a good to check EB for those. They sell the official Nintendo versions for $4.99 used. I've had pretty good luck finding them in stock, but of course YMMV.

Too bad the BB site doesn't list the new PStwo multitap; I'll be in the market for one of those real soon.

Ok I just picked up the controller last night and it is not the one I expected. The controller on the BB site is made of clear plastic. I thought it was the same version of the ones I already have with a different shell. That's not the case.

Apparently the controllers I have are the Pelican G3 PRO models. These are much better than the regular G3. This controller feels cheap in comparison to the G3 and has less options as well. No rumble feature, no A-B channel selection, etc. I'll be taking this controller back to Best Buy for a refund.

Best Buy infuriates me.
I want to pick up the 12 month Xbox Live renewal for the 20% off, but when I do in store pick up, it shows unavailable at my store.
I happened to stop by at lunch and they had about 10 of them on the shlef.
I normally would just ship it but my sub expires on 11/16 and it is too close to call.

Yeah, I think their system for determining in-stock at a store is a bit screwy. During their last 20% accessories sale, I wanted to pick up one of those cheapy Xbox headset replacements but it said my local store didn't have any, I go there the next day to pick up something else I ordered and they had several of the headset replacements on the shelf (and probably a bunch more in the back).

Only thing I can think of is maybe talk to them at Bestbuy and see if they're willing to pricematch their own website. If you explain to them that the website is incorrectly saying that they don't have the item in stock and that you can't order from the website because of it, they might be a little more lenient with the price match (since they usually don't price match websites).

I've tried that with DVDs before. Online says there are no DVDs in stock yet there are 5 sitting there on the shelf when I go to the B&M. I got the runaround for around an hour (which is WAY too much time to mess with a $15 DVD, but by that point I was determined to ride it out) and finally they said that their inventory system has to have a "certain amount" of an item in stock for it to show on their website. I was SOL by the time all was said and done.

I'm sure you could bring in the online ad and show them that they have plenty in stock, but it will be YMMV of course.

Funny, soon after posting my message, I checked BB online and my store is showing them back in stock (and I promptly ordered one).
I would think the issue is slow updates from their stores but they have had these in stock for weeks.
