And some things had a giant price increase. Valkyria Chronicles during the last sale was ~ $15 used. It's up to $30.99 used now. Not the only item either. KZ3 was like $32 dollars during last sale, last night was used for $53.99 and around $30 dollars again today.
Say it with me....
It goes in stock, then out of stock, then it's back in stock....I think you get the picture.
Hastings is set up for what they have in stock the price is at a certain price, when they sell out it defaults to a set price (usually higher) until the item is replenished through trade in, restock, put in online inventory, etc. then it goes to a certain price
depending on how many are in stock.
Edit: And I just looked at Valkyria, it is OOS, hence the default price kicking in. Not so hard to start to see the pattern once you know how the system works now is it?
But you won't see an in stock item (usually) spike up to $53 for no reason during a sale, then back down after, why would they purposely lose a sale....?
A game I bought was going in and out of stock this past 30% off sale and price fluctuated only because of its availability. There is no big conspiracy with their pricing, just that they can't keep their online store updated with real time stock updates, but I think they do well enough even with that shortcoming.
**Waits for Cheapest to come in and explain, for the 129th time about Hastings stock and shipping policies for those who still don't know them after all this time**
