CAGiversary!
You can get 20% USED games at Gohastings.com with the promo code ZELDA until May 21st. While not as good as the 2 day 30% off sale some of the games had a price drop. Example: Dead to Rights:Retribution was $7.45 on Friday but dropped to $5.66. Not all games dropped but some you may want could have.

And some things had a giant price increase. Valkyria Chronicles during the last sale was ~ $15 used. It's up to $30.99 used now. Not the only item either. KZ3 was like $32 dollars during last sale, last night was used for $53.99 and around $30 dollars again today.

Say it with me....

It goes in stock, then out of stock, then it's back in stock....I think you get the picture.

Hastings is set up for what they have in stock the price is at a certain price, when they sell out it defaults to a set price (usually higher) until the item is replenished through trade in, restock, put in online inventory, etc. then it goes to a certain price depending on how many are in stock.

Edit: And I just looked at Valkyria, it is OOS, hence the default price kicking in. Not so hard to start to see the pattern once you know how the system works now is it?

But you won't see an in stock item (usually) spike up to $53 for no reason during a sale, then back down after, why would they purposely lose a sale....?

A game I bought was going in and out of stock this past 30% off sale and price fluctuated only because of its availability. There is no big conspiracy with their pricing, just that they can't keep their online store updated with real time stock updates, but I think they do well enough even with that shortcoming.

**Waits for Cheapest to come in and explain, for the 129th time about Hastings stock and shipping policies for those who still don't know them after all this time** ;)

So I ordered a used copy from Gohastings for $10.74 (Dreamcast Collection) during their 30% off sale and I opened the package to a new sealed copy! Thanks Gohastings!

Fallout 3 GOTY under $20

Punch-Out Wii is pretty tempting for 18.65 shipped. I'm sure this gets asked every time, but how's the quality on their used stock? Gamefly-ish caliber?

Out of the 20+ games I've ordered from them, only 1 has come without the manual, and one case had GS stickers on it. Everything else has been in really good shape, although the one game I have bought from Gamefly looks brand new.

I was just going to post that. The entire hastings franchise got a free pass to the rapture. The stores themselves will raise into the sky on mighty chariots.

It's so hit, or miss with them. My recent batch had a couple with diseased looking cases, some plastered with "previously owned" stickers from other companies, and others looking very good.

Fairy Tale Fights PS3 (yeah I've been curious, and it was cheap) looks like hell shat it out on the outside, but the disc was fine. Probably a situation where the previous owner swapped out the case before trading.

I ordered like 10 games last week and all of them came complete and like new, some stickers were present but i removed them with WD40, the cases look mint now:cool:

They e-malied me my order code and when I put it in on their site it says that my order number and zip aren't on there. Look at the e-mail and it says they are and what I typed in was right.

I have no idea if they're even sending it to the right place since I can't check. The E-mail had all the right information but... Yeah.

My Oblivion disk didn't work...they adjusted the price for my new order of the game, and they paid for the return of the damaged product. Out of 15 games or so that's the only one that didn't work.

I always go to Amazon, and check GoHastings' descrption of their game before I buy.

Hasn't failed me yet.
