order from www.penguinunited.com and enter code ~tellsomeoneaboutpenguinunitedthankyou~ and receive 20% off the order of a Wii charging dock.

The charging dock includes a rechargeable battery with up to 38 hours of gameplay on full charge. The site is trustworthy as I ordered my wii component cables from them as well. (Which I suggest checking out there site if you are looking for wii component cables)

Total for me comes to $21.76 shipped

This looks nice... but is it possible to pay with paypal and still enter the coupon code? It looks like I have to bypass the paypal screen do get to a page where i can enter the coupon.

EDIT: Nevermind. I see that if you skip "Paypal Express," you can still choose paypal at the bottom of the next page.

Also, I don't see anything about ordering extra battery packs / covers for extra controllers....

$21 will also buy 4 NiMH AA batteries and a quick charger. I keep 8 around, at any point in time there are 4 in the controllers and 4 in the charger and I swap once a week. Plus, AAs can be used in other items as well (e.g., 360 controllers).
thats what it says.
It seemed to be worded like they're 38 hours and out, so I wasn't sure.

This is really spiffy, but I'll hold off until I see if/when they offer more batteries and covers, as I have 2 Wiimotes.

Personally, I'd buy this over a simple rechargeable AA batteries+dock because it'sd mighty spiffy.

Something everyone should know on these and on several other random rechargable wiimote battery kits. They come with a cable to recharge off of a USB port and don't come with an adapter to plug them into a normal wall outlet. That may seem all well and good considering that the Wii has 2 USB ports on the back but the catch is that those ports are not powered while the system is in standby mode. You can also plug them into a PC USB port or most any other powered USB port as well (I'm using the useless ones on the back of my cable box) but if you plug them into the Wii they will only recharge when it's actually turned on and running.

Personally I'd hold out for Nyko's charging station which comes with two battery packs and the ability to charge both at once, which will MSRP for $29.99

The Nyko Charger for the xbox 360 that had 2 battery and stuff was complete crap, didn't hold charges among other numerous complaints. My experience with 3rd party lithium-ion (whatever) rechargable batterys has been really horrid.

I'll wait for a review before I make a choice. BTW, I've seen another charger set by Joytech, though I'm not sure if it's in the US yet. Anyone know anything?

Thanks for pointing this out. That's a deal-killer for me. And yeah, I'd like an extra rechargeable battery as well. That Nyko charger is looking pretty good.

What I want to know, and that everyone neglects to point out is if any of these chargers for the Wii work while the gloves are on.

Havent seen it in the states either. Contacted them and no response.

Will let you know when I get mine in 2-3 days from Penguin. I too use the gloves and its a hassle having to remove them just to charge.

I ordered two charging docks last week and a set of component cables. The kit arrived on Saturday, but only included one charging dock, and didn't include any sort of invoice or packing sheet to indicate if the second was on backorder or somesuch. I emailed customer support but haven't heard back yet.

On the upside, the charging dock is rather nice, nicely designed and constructed AND it does, in fact, charge while the wii is on standby. I haven't tested the battery life, but overall, it's a nice piece of kit.
