2001A or 3001A?

A question for my fellow CAG's:

I basically have the choice between two lightly used ps3 models: 2001a or 3001a. I will be dropping a 250gb 7200rpm drive in whichever model I choose.

I've been using my 60gb launch model all this time so I haven't kept up on the slim models. Which is the best choice? Factors that matter to me are noise, heat, longevity, build quality. I will not be looking to do any hacking / modding.

Go with the newer one. But if your concerned about heat, why put a 7200 rpm drive on there?

The PS3's sata connection is slow. Proof is how little difference an SSD makes. Go with a 5200, and save on heat.
