I feel bad for Uncle Reggie. There was a good chance the Pacers couldve won a ring this year.
If JO, Jax and Ron didnt go and mess up the team they would have been on top of the Pistons this year.

The Heat are scary but they would have a hell of a team trying to take down a 100% Pacers squad.

They traded him to Golden State in a deal that got us Antawn Jamison. We then traded Jamison the following year to the Wizards for Stackhouse and the No. 5 pick in the draft that ended up being Devin Harris. That turned out to be quite a decent deal, if you ask me.

Yes they do. His name is Devin Harris, and he's been getting some good minutes during this series. Jason Terry isn't a true point guard, but he's definitely getting the job done.

Losing Nash certainly hurt us a bit, but I just don't believe he's going to hold up for more than a couple more seasons. His style is running and going full speed almost all the time, but he's getting older and he's been battling injuries for the past couple seasons. I doubt he'll be able to live up to the insane contract the Suns gave him. It was in Dallas' best interest to let him walk away.

It is already paid for itself 10 fold. Getting that team back to the top of the league, and bringing respect back to that organization is huge. Their ticket and merchandise sales are going to skyrocket over what they were.

and while the Twan deal looks good on paper, does anyone really need two Twan's? The Mavs just stockpiled forwards for some reason, when they needed some more good guards. What Van Exel did for the Mavs in the playoffs was huge, and they should not have done him shitty like they did.

I knew Phoenix was going to be really good this season. At the very beginning, no one was mentioning the Suns to be at the top of the West, but I knew with the additions of Nash and Richardson, they'd be a helluva lot better.

However, look what happened to the team when Nash was out with injuries this season; they tanked. That team is riding on Nash, and if he gets hurt, their season is done for. It may not happen this season, but I wouldn't doubt Nash missing a lot of games in the next few seasons.

I was pretty upset when they let Van Exel go, but what's funny is Van Exel missed alot of time after the trade and so did LaFrentz up in Boston. Getting two decent forwards in exchange for damaged goods is pretty good, IMO.

Look at it this way, we got Stackhouse and Harris for Van Exel and Terry and Henderson for LaFrentz.
 
Baby Bulls caught fire in the last half but wasnt enough to stop the homosexual wizards.

We need some inside presence. The Wizards have been watching the tapes and figured out the Bulls.
But I am confident the series will go to 7 with the Bulls being victorious.
 
Well, put a fork in them, the Chicago Bulls are done. They had a great season, and it was nice to see them back in the playoffs after seven long years...

Come on, keep the hope alive fellow chicagoans...one more chance to play smart, the entire game. I really don't want to end this great year on a 4 game losing streak (have we even lost 4 in a row since 0-9?). They just gotta rebound and keep their big guys in check...after about 8-9 crappy quarters in their last 3 games they've gotta be due...right?

The Bulls are so banged up right now, I don't see them winning tomorrow. They haven't won in Washington since 2003! It's do or die for Chicago...
 
I feel sorry for that Perkins kid in the Boston/Indiana game. Doesn't play a minute in the playoffs, then has to come off the bench to shoot two important free throws and misses them both.

No we would never get enough for him to make it worth it. it is a shame he had a great game up to that point. His rebounding has been excellent this series and he is shooting a good percentage

Bradley is the Mavs weakest link. He cant do anything else but be tall.

sonics over spurs in 6. you heard it hear first. the spurs didnt look special at all in their series with the nuggets, they just packed the paint since denver has no outside shooting, they wont get away with this against the sonics.

also take into account these teams only met twice in the reg season when fully healthy, and the sonics won both games.

the sonics are a really good slow down team that sets up well in the half court. they play playoff basketball.

Didn't the Nuggets have a winning record in the regular season against the Spurs? That didn't get them too far.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all about the Sonics, but the Spurs are playing on a different level. Duncan gets motivated and has a semblance of a personality in the playoffs, and now he has a more talented bench to back him up both front and backcourt. The only players I can see taking on Duncan are Fortson and Jerome James.

Jerome James is going to regress to pre-garbage bag days, as he will be confronted with a plethora of double and triple teams now that he is on the radar. Fortson is technical happy... expect the Spurs to take advantage and frustrate him at every opportunity.

I think Sonics can force a game 6 but they aren't going to win the series. The Spurs' perimeter defense is way tougher than the Kings' "stand around until we get the ball back" method. If any team plays "playoff basketball", its the Spurs. (well if you ignore last year's debacle, I have no idea what they were smoking)

No team that relies on the 3 that much will beat a fundamentally sound team like the Spurs. Do the Sonics have a chance, yeah but they aren't beating the Spurs in 6.

Defense in the playoffs is at a premium, you put someone like Bruce Bowen on Ray Allen to take him out of his comfort zone. Games aren't being called as tight so Bowen can be he's usual self and play up on people (body them up).

Rebounding is another area that the Spurs will dominate and the Sonics will struggle with. Those 2nd chance points are killers during the playoffs.

For the Sonics Lewis is the key to this series cause if he is hitting the 3, Duncan is going out there to defend him so he'll be given that shot the entire series. Maybe they can upset them in seven but I doubt it.

It just pisses me off so bad cause Dirk is getting punked by McGrady. While McGrady is leading his team in almost every category, Dirk is leading his team in free throw attempts. Dirk has not showed up this series, and it's starting to piss me off.

yep, its getting on me as well. Last game though, they should have thrown the ball to Stackhouse constantly, and they didn't. Jerry was on fire, and was getting guarded by some short MF'ers. He also had that hunger in him which made me think he could have carried the team


and if I see the Mavs chuck up one more three with 3 Rockets under the rim and not a single Mav, I am going to lose it

your all do in for some awakening. You listen too much and dont watch. the sonics are not a fast break three ball shooting team. As a matter of fact, history of this past year shows the sonics play their best ball at a slow tempo when they set there offense and get inside (read, exactly what the spurs play at).

and as for the other comment, if jerome james sees triple teams, GREAT! more "3's" for us 3 ball shooting sonics?

edit...whats with the conception that seattle is a poor rebounding team anyway? They pull down one out of three (33%) of their shots they put up. thats one great exception. and they are a good d team too.

The kings where tough, i dont care if they play or dont play defense, their offense is a monster, and it may even be better without c webb there. Its obvious that brad miller makes a huge impact when hes healthy and on the floor. hes a very good elbow passer and thats helps a lot when you have a drive and kick offense.
 
The Mavs are currently breaking the Rockets over and giving to them up the arse.

It's currently 43-25 with 7:30 in the 2nd quarter.

It will be interesting to see if anyone tries to pull any more sophomoric bullshit when the Pacers show up at the Palace, though. My roommate went to the last game they played there and the game was delayed for two hours because of a bomb threat.
 
The heat will win the championship, Shaq will play inspired after being robbed of the mvp, Wade will make all the clutch shots and will be considered among the top 3 guards after they win it all, they have one of the best defenses in the NBA, and they have a deep bench with Christian, Mourning, Butler, and Dooling, and The Joneses are money on the open 3-ball... Two good teams will stand in their way... Detroit and San Antonio
