Really? Seriously? fucks fan? wow... bandwagon much with the Yotes. Wings won't get in? Are you new to hockey or something... ? Christ.

Edit: Matt Young you better be fucking pissed at the Zebras, No calls?? Are you fucking kidding me?

The Wings are pretty much a lock to get in and they might move as high as 5th.

Howard & Rinne were both fantastic in net tonight. It took ten rounds but the Wings got it done.

No Yotes fans should hate the Detroit. The Wings games were among the only sellouts that arena saw some years. Oh and we appreciate the win over the aves tonight.

But it is true, although it would sellout with Canadian teams as well... damn snowbirds.

Yeah but it was more of a Wings home game. I've seen it in person and it's pretty sad

I have been to games against Detroit, it's not THAT bad. When did you go to a Coyotes game?

Good game last night against Colorado, Stempniak has been kind of ridiculous.

It was two years ago. The year we won the Cup. Gotta say the seats make the arena look a little dark or maybe it was just me.

Colorado is slowly backing out of the playoffs. They now lost 5 of their last six. Enlighten me people not in the eastern time zone what's going on with their team.

^Where to start... Rookies have been carrying them for most of the season and some of those rookies are hurt so they don't have anyone to take up the slack. Also, other teams around them have been winning more often.
Hawks but at least they don't have to deal with the goaltending problem in Edmonton.
Or Philly?
Oh yeah that too. Wonder what "goalie problem" is worse, Caps or Hawks?
The Hawks have a bigger problem. The caps can outscore more teams than the Hawks can.

Just giving you guys some crap thats all. Is my boy Robert Lang coming back to the lineup soon?

I think they have a few injuries. Plus you've got a ton of younger players playing in an NHL length season for the first couple times. Guys are wearing down and the season is taking its toll. No matter what happens the Aves have accomplished a ton this season. I wouldn't have picked them to sniff a playoff spot before the year began. That coaching staff has done a great job.

Here is quite a blooper from over the weekend. Enjoy! :D

im glad the sharks won last night, but im secretly rooting for colorado. when i was in vegas last year the odds on the avs were really good, i think 30 or 35 to 1 on them winning the cup. i was surprised by the odds because they were looking great at the young season, so i threw some money on them.

Wings grabbed a 4-0 lead on the Oilers then stood around and watched until it was tied. Brad Stuart scored with around a minute left to get the win. Slopy game, but a victory and 2 points.

I actually missed the last 3 games since I was in Phoenix, going to a fuckton of shows and games.

They've been mediocre since the Olympic break, but haven't really fallen much. They're 7th now, but could easily move right back up into 5th with a couple more wins.

So LA is now a 4th or bust team then VipFreak? that's a tall order for a team who hasn't been in the playoffs for a bit now.

Yeah, it's been 8 years since they made the playoffs. While I will be disappointed if they finish 7th or 8th rather than 5th or 6th (and it'd be virtually impossible for them to go higher than 5), due to how well they played in the first 2/3 of the season, I will still consider this season a success as long as they just make the playoffs in some fashion.

As we all know, seeding goes out the window and anything can happen in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. I know LA would have a good shot at beating the Sharks or the Canucks. The Blackhawks... I'm not so sure.

Man, I just got back from Phoenix, and I'm already going to Kings vs. Canucks tomorrow and Kings vs. Ducks Saturday. :)

I honestly would have enjoyed that. I've never been to any other NHL arena other than Staples, unless you count the MGM Grand Garden Arena for Frozen Fury XII.

I guess I thought the makeup of that team could've been high the whole season... As for the sharts they don't deserve to get past the first round of the playoffs.

I went to the Kings vs. Canucks game tonight. That was probably the most fun I've had at an NHL game. The atmosphere at Frozen Fury was cooler, but it was just so fun seeing the Kings destroy a potential playoff opponent.

The Kings were up 3-0 through 1 and 5-0 at the halfway point, and went on to win 8-3. Dustin Brown got a hat trick.

I have no idea. I was wondering the same thing. After 5-6 goals, the Staples Center crowd started mocking the "Luongo" chant. It was awesome.

Rangers are now knocking on the playoff door and in 9th place. 82 points and tied in points with the Flyers (Flyers have more wins). The final 2 games of season are Rangers/Flyers home and home. Thrashers schedule is too difficult for them to make it. Thrashers are 1 point behind the Rangers/Flyers and only have 3 games left compared to everybody else having 4. Thrashers also end their season against the Caps, Penguins and Devils.

I didn't get to go to the Kings/Ducks game since the friend with tickets decided to take his brother. But the Ducks scored on a 6 on 4 with 1:30 left after they pulled the goalie, tying it at 1. The Ducks then won the shootout. :(

If the Caps get just 1 more point, or the Sharks fail to get to 2 points in any of their remaining games, the Caps get the Presidents' Trophy :)

I'd rather the Caps get it, they deserve it more. Less embarrassment for when the Sharts are out the first round this time too...

They'll still be the #1 seed in the West. As long as you don't face the Red Wings in the first round, you'll make it to Game 7.

If they can't win against bottom basement teams, they aren't going anywhere. Yeah they won their last few but they've done stupid shit and the other teams just couldn't capitalize...
