this might be better posted in the ps3 forums, but isnt the backwards compatibility for the 80gig fairly decent? I checked sony's website to check the backwards compatibility for some titles and most of them checked out ok. I mean paying 480$ for an OPEN BOX 20 gig seems silly.

Because it's open box and a 20GB it's most likely been used for over a year. I wouldn't buy it.
