2ds turns on makes popping sounds and shuts off.

Has anyone had this issue with their 2ds and then had it serviced by Nintendo? I sent mine off to them last week and it's still only in received mode. I'm hoping that they fix it and the dead pixel is also has, but I've never dealt with them before.

Sounds like the issue previous DS have when the battery is depleted. The DS lite also had fuses that would go off and prevent it from turning on. The above may or may not be the issue with your 2DS but may be a possibility. All my Nintendo handhelds have been purchased new and the only one that had a problem was my DS lite which had to have its hinge replaced.

I think I had posted about this a year or so ago... I had the same problem as your description, except with my Pikachu 3DS. They never specified what the problem was, but whatever it was, it fell well within the boundaries of the initial year warranty that comes with the console.
