2GB RAM cheap

Hey there everyone, my computer has began to spaz out with a bunch of memory parity errors so I really need to get some new RAM. Since this would be a good time I would really like to upgrade my RAM also.

What is the cheapest that I could 2GB of Pretty Fast RAM? I do mostly use the computer for gaming so I DO need ram that has decent speed on it.

If you're not planning to OC your processor, you can downclock that memory and use reduce the timings.

Your right sorry about that. I am not sure what kind I need(I will check that out before I buy it) but I am almost positive it is DDR2. Thanks though I like that second one you pointed out.

If you know what kind of processer you have it's easy to know what RAM you need.

I personally am looking at the OCZ 2x1024 DDR2 400mhz pc3200 2-3-2-5 ram on newegg for 208 before a 25 mailin rebate

You can get CPU-Z to tell you...

Google it, download it, start it (it's self contained, no need to install), wait for a bit for it start up, and click on the memory tab. It should tell you what type of memory you're using.
