I decided to post this in its own thread because it is very popular in the thread for the 1GB card after rebate.

This is a great deal! It's $20 after Google Checkout and doesn't require a rebate. It ships for free if you choose the slow poke option!

It's a 2GB SD memory card with a USB SD card reader (comes in handy with older PCs).

A bunch of people have ordered this all ready, and with it not requiring a rebate, I imagine it will sell out pretty quickly.

Mine shipped as well. Pretty nice turn around for something they didn't show being in stock.

That's pretty low of them considering they sent me a promo email (which they send me WAY too many of considering the last time I bought something from them was nearly 2 years ago) specificially pointing out the Google checkout $20 price (highlighted in red no less)!

Mine shipped as well. I was surprised. BUT the stuff from Buy.com always takes forever to get to me. Like a week at least. Slow ass snail mail. I have a one gig that I have in my ph0ne so I'll swap it out for now.

Ridata is great . . . rebates sucks but $35 shipped is still a good price (esp. with the free 128 card -- which I can really use for one application).

OK, in my very unscientific testing of the Toshiba 2GB SD card (still available for $35 at Office Max or less if you bring in old ink cartridges for $3 apiece), I got the following:

120 MB of mp3's transferred in 33 seconds, about 3.6 MB/sec.
But this was from an external drive to the card reader in my laptop.

So I did another test of copying from the internal drive:
44MB of (fairly large) picture files transferred in 13 seconds, or 3.4 MB/sec.

So, it probably isn't the fastest thing in the world for high-speed devices, but it should suffice for the Wii. Plus I don't know how much of that is the bottleneck of my computer comm bus ;). But at a MINIMUM, it is about 3.5 MB/sec.
