$3.18 HDMI Cable - For all you new console owners.
Yea, the only thing I seen wrong with these cables are that they are not for 1080p which I don't need so these are perfect! I gave it 5 stars!
Where do you see they aren't for 1080p? And you're talking about the ones in the OP right?

I know nothing about anything but I read that the only cables that work correctly for 1080p are Class 2 cables or "High Speed" cables. Again, a grain of salt! Hopefully someone that knows more can clarify.

I while back I got a bunch of 10ft. cables for $4 from Fry's that weren't in the tv section and pretty buried in a cable section. Now that they realized what they were selling it's been about $8. No quality issues at all.

i gotta admit i don't know jack about hdmi cables but would like to get some if it makes the games look better-

does it matter which one i buy or is there a particular one i should get -for my ps3 and 360-obviously i gotta get one that's long enough-but other than that i got no idea.

sorry for the noobish question and thanks for any help

From what i've heard, HDMI is HDMI regardless of brand. I have these generic cables hooked up everywhere in my house and they're great. It was a huge jump from the crappy "Sony" brand component cables.

You should be safe buying the cheaper cable but alot of people forget that HDMI only stands for High Definition Multimedia Interface. It's like the RJ-45 connector on the end of your ethernet cable. HDMI cables are a digital cable that propagates its electrical signal at varying bandwidths. I previously was a home theater installer and there were times when I'd hook up a ps3 or blu-ray player to TV's and some HDMI cables would work and some wouldn't. It really comes down to whether or not the TV is getting a signal that meets and exceeds its filtering thresholds for noise on the signal and if the cable has the bandwidth to pass the signal you want. It's why 3D tv's need special 2.0 HDMI as opposed to 1.3. If you want more information, the training course I attended was held by an independent board "SimPlay HD". I've posted the links below.

EDIT: I just add this to clear up any questions on HDMI. I use cheap cables on my stuff thats not taxing and premium cables in my ultimate set-up.

Hopefully this can help answer specific questions.

I'm not sure if these are the same HDMI cables that I have, mine just say HDMI 1.3, but my cable works for both my 360 and PS3

I always buy monoprice. Mainly because of 'Overnight Express.' Cheap flate rate shipping for anything up to 10 lbs. I always ask my friends if they need anything to make it more worthwhile.

Oh, and HDMI is HDMI. Almost everywhere you buy it now ends up being what, 1.3b. They fit on any HDMI device, absolutely no loss for the distances people typically need, so there isn't much of a problem with most of them. But if you have the money to shell out for a 3D TV, go for 1.4. I'm not sure what HDMI 2.0 is, since the newest addition to the bunch is 1.4.

Those hdmi cables are 1.3 though, 1.4 is the newest version.

Ive gotten all my hdmi cables off ebay for same price though.
never shopped at mono price before plus i have amazon prime shows all 3 cables for $3 free shipping wich sounds good or should i really make an account at monoprice
I've ordered from monoprice many times. They really are quite affordable. Their prices are ALWAYS low, you get volume deals when you order in bulk, their customer service is EXCELLENT (not to discount Amazon's customer service - their US-in-hours customer service staff is GREAT), and they also ship via USPS to save on shipping for someone like me who is in Hawaii.

Their HDMI cables are roughly the same price as price-dropped Amazon ones, but are ALWAYS that price.

However, if you have Amazon coupon codes to redeem, and/or you're able to take advantage of Free Shipping in some way, those cables are a pretty good deal.
