Be sure to thank speedy since he is the one who actually posted the info. I just copy and pasted it for all of CAG to read. :D

This is next week's ad. It comes out a week from today....

And here I was hoping for some kind of Miyazaki blowout, since I don't have a single of his films. Heck, even Howl and Totoro for $17 apiece isn't anything too great, it's about on par with the regular price during the DDD sale.

Either way, thanks for bringing the ads CAGside, DemoMan.
Why aren't movie soundtracks ever on sale.
Because they are a bunch of bastards and they don't love you.

But hey.....

David Gilmour's CD is on sale. Which is just as good as a movie soundtrack if not BETTER.

Hmmm... Do I want to pay the extra $2 and get the litho at CC? Anybody seen a picture of the thing? If Snape is in it, they'll definitely get my extra $2 :D

Nice price on KT Tunstall at BB, too... will have to pick that up.

Thanks OP :D

Thx OP that Ne-YO song has stuck in my head so I may pick up that disc. Supposedly he penned a few hit songs for other writers

Here's a synopsis of the borg collection:

The Borg Fan Collection has the top ten most popular Borg episodes as picked by the fans! Witness all the characters from Star Trek: The Next Generation, Enterprise and Voyager as they defend their ships, galaxies, and their own kind. For thousands of years the Borg have been spreading throughout the galaxy, conquering, assimilating and thus destroying countless civilizations. Following every encounter, the Borg catalogue each new species with a numerical designation instead of a proper name. The goal of the Borg, in most cases, is to completely assimilate each species by incorporating their knowledge and technology into the unified Borg Collective. One by one, each living being is converted into Borg Drones. In many cases, all that remains of an assimilated civilization is the memory of its unique contributions that now resides only within the accumulated knowledge of the Borg. That and the numerical species designation. Often even the name is lost, forgotten or deleted as irrelevant. Conversely, the species designations give a sense of the long and terrible history of the Borg and the thousands of species they have encountered and absorbed.

DDD has it for a little over $28, too. So I'll wait to get it in early July.

Didn't know Zu Warriors was getting released here. Dissapointed on the Miyazaki disks, was hoping to pick up Howl's Moving Castle for $15. I knew I should of bought the import.

*sobs* Screw you Worst Buy and your exclusive shit.... looks like I'll be buying Mr. Gilmour's new album there just for the bonus track. Any bets that they'll only get 3 copies per location which will be gone in about 1 minute after opening?

Who?

Why is the 2-disc Harry Potter DVD so expensive? I don't remember the past three films being this expensive when they first released, and they came with 2-discs.

Oh well, me being the Harry Potter fanboy that I am, I will most likely buy it anyway. Maybe Sam's Club will have it cheaper...

I literally saw the promo for Zu Warriors like 4-5 years ago and have been wanting to see it for that long. What took it so long to be released here?

As of lately companies like Warner and Fox have realized that they can make more money by having multiple versions like this. Remember that a good chunk of people sadly do not care about extras and they just want the movie so in one sense this is a good idea by having a bare bones version available but on the other hand its very unfair to those of us who love extras and now we are having to pay far more for what we used to get at the price the bare bones editions are going for.

Gonna be picking up Crash for $10. One of my Top 3 movies for 2005 - Right up there w/ Batman: Begins & March of the Penguins.
how was march of the penguins?...haven't seen/picked it up yet
If you're big into nature and animals, you will more than likely enjoy this movie. The cinematography is breath taking and is something I could watch a few more times before really getting tired of it.

I too, disagree with the 1 disc/2 disc releases. It leads to much higher prices than expected for the two disc sets, and yeah I guess I'll got to Costco for Harry Potter. Hey, I got the first three for $8 each at CC Black Friday, so I'll have to complete the set...

On a related note, with the Batman Begins deal at Best Buy...don't forget, it's the single disc edition.

The Costco website lists the 2-disk HP:GOF dvd as $20.99, which is the same price that BB has it for.

The 1 vs. 2 disc sets are really irking me. I'm caught in a catch-22. I will not pay more than $15 for a DVD. I am also unwilling to buy a 1 disc DVD when I know a 2 disc set is available, even though I know that there is less than a 5% chance I will ever use the 2nd disc.

I would have bought a 2 disc Harry Potter for $15, but I guess I'll pass for now. I was already miffed about all the other Harry Potter 2 disc sets dropping to $8.50 at Wal-Mart. Even at $15 it'd actually be cheaper to rent the movie twice and then buy it when it drops to $8.50 in a year.
I literally saw the promo for Zu Warriors like 4-5 years ago and have been wanting to see it for that long. What took it so long to be released here?
Disney back story where they put some money into this and wanted some big great effects/kung fu fantasy block buster. Instead they got this turd. I bought the import about 3 years back. Spend your money on the new Myazaki stuff...

I too am dissappointed Howl and Totoro aren't available for less than $20 each. The last batch were all like $17 when I bought them (Porco Rosso, Nausicca, Spirited Away)

Hey, I realized something. Harry Potter 2 disc is $14.99 on the Best Buy website. AND you can do the 2 for $20 deal with any other Potter movie. On top of all that, you can select in store pick-up.

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?type=category&id=pcmcat83800050005

UPDATE: Looks like I was incorrect. On the Best Buy website, all three (FS/WS/2-disc) are listed as the two disc edition. However when you see the listings, the covers are correct. If you order one or the other, you could argue that the website said "2-Disc" and was falsely represented.
If you're big into nature and animals, you will more than likely enjoy this movie. The cinematography is breath taking and is something I could watch a few more times before really getting tired of it.
thanks, i will have to find a good deal on it...I was tempted when I saw it on release week in the store, but didn't know what it was.

Just to add that through an online only offer, The Cosby Show - Seasons 1 & 2 are $26 @ Best Buy.

the cosby show offer

Not a bad deal for two seasons, considering both would be $55 @ DeepDiscountDVD or $48 at Amazon.

"The Cosby Show — Save $20 Offer

Savings will be reflected in your cart when all promotional requirements are met. If you remove any of the required items from your order, you will not receive the promotional offer. Limit: 3 of the same title per customer. No dealers, please."

Is there any deals on the Jarhead Collector's set?? I got it at BB but it was $32.99 and I would really like it at a somewhat lower price.

I broke down and bought the Harry Potter: Goblet of Fire 2-disc DVD at Wal-Mart. It was a bit cheaper there than most other places ($19.99 + tax) so I'm not too angry about having to pay $7 extra for the second disc. The way I see it, I'm too big of a Harry Potter fan to not buy this version.

I confirmed that Costco has all three Miyazaki fils at $18.89 each. It may be cheaper to get them at BestBuy with the $6 off, but my local had thm tagged at $23.99, so I came out ahead. They've also got Harry Potter tagged at $20.99 in case you miss out on the sale or don't have the funds right now. it will be that price for a while.

Does anybody know if Target has the widescreen version of Charlotte's Web? I assume not, since it is a family DVD, but I can always hope.
