3% netflix credit - check your email

CAGiversary!
Got an e-mail from Netflix Friday night stating that the instant stream function may have been unavailable the day before and click on a link in the e-mail to apply a 3% credit to your next statement. For me, it's like 30 cents lol but if you have one of the bigger plans, it could be worth a couple of bucks.
i'd hate to see the price of their plan if 3% was a couple bucks ;)
That does sound pretty ridiculous! For 3% to come out to a couple dollars, the plan would have to be around $66-67 dollars. The most expensive plan available from Netflix is the 8-DVD $47.99/month plan + $2.00 Blu-ray fee, so that's about $1.49 back.

The email came like 2 days ago for me so check to see if you didn't accidentally delete it (if you have a trash folder that isn't emptied that is). Some people only got 2% btw.

Shouldn't it just be across the board for everyone without the need to click on an email that you may easily miss? I'd rather they send an extra disc rental instead.

I don't even know if they sent me one since I rarely check the account addy.

Have you even experienced any issues with Netflix to deserve the credit? And an extra disc is worth a lot more than 3%. Plus I imagine most people actually use their primary email address for their accounts, and would thus check it normally.

It was a service wide outage for customers. Point was they should have taken the opportunity to appear more generous in the public eye after just celebrating a stock price high. Jumping hoops for 2-3% is being a cheapskate attempt at whatever they were trying to accomplish.

Providing a free disc rental - which they've periodically done - could have reinforced their flexibility as a leader in both formats.

They extended my trial an extra week because of the outage. Not sure why, I didn't stream anything the day of the outage.

Either way I'm not complaining.
Dang how come I didn't get one of these e-mails!?!? :O I've been a member for about 4 months now!
Im guessing if you dont use the "watch instantly" feature a lot then you wont get the email, but i could be wrong.
I got that email and thought, "3%? This has to be one of the worst phishing attempts ever."
this
I've never received a credit from any TV/Internet provider when they lose service. Good for Netflix.
Agree. A worse company could argue that the streaming is free and may have issues from time to time.

This is a class move by Netflix.

Yes? J/k :)
I got the email, but did not click the link for the credit because I didn't have any problems. Am I too honest?
