Lord of the Rings inclusion was clearly a mistake. If it was fulfilled, then you got lucky. I don't see how anyone could not have foreseen this.
 
All my stuff shipped, two Planet Earth's and a Life boxset. Got in pretty late on the deal too. I already have all the True Blood and Dexter seasons but if you got those you got a hell of a value.

Went 4 for 6 on my orders:

Star Wars TCW season 1 cancelled

Hopefully a couple of other things will come back in stock and I can place another order before the deal is over.
 
Got a bunch of shipped emails overnight. 9 of the 12 initially ordered items shipped. The 3 that were canceled that I reordered later are still In Progress.
 
My fifth order had Ultimate Knockouts 8 and Ratatouille canceled. Ultimate Knockouts 7 is still marked as in progress. First time I've ever really had anything canceled but no big deal for me. I just ordered on a whim on this one.

Despicable Me was marked as shipped overnight last night, so the 12 I ordered on Sunday are all shipped. Really happy about that.
 
Received my copy of "Despicable Me" today it did not include the DVD disc only the Blu-ray and the Digital Copy even though DVD was listed as being included with the used Blu-ray version.

Update:

E-mailed Customer Service at 3:45 today and they replied back in 45 minutes and told me that they would refund me for the movie and for me just to keep it. Thats cool and all but I really needed the DVD version for the car for my son. If anybody doesnt want there DVD version from the combo pack I will give you some paypal for it.

But of the 5 discs I've received so far, this is the only one missing the code. In fact, my copy of Sorcerer's Apprentice was brand new, clearly a substitution. Not bad...not bad.

It's Used. There's really no reason to expect it to have the code for a one-time redemption.

Except the description of the item on the receipt clearly states "Includes Digital Copy". If it didn't, I wouldn't be a jerk and demand it, but if it states that in the description of the used item, I have a reason to expect it.

HUGE YMMV on boxsets working at this point - Die Hard and Godfather didn't, sadly, but Planet Earth did. I wanted the version of Life narrated by Attenborough, but they only carry the US one.

On a side note, if anyone happened to pick up the Die Hard collection or the Godfather collection and decide that they don't want them..

I probably should've snagged Firefly, but I tried watching some of the first episode and I just couldn't get into it.

I think this issue's a little different, though. If I understand correctly, the digital copy is actually on the DVD disc in this instance, and the entire DVD disc was missing from his order. It'd be one thing if the DVD was in there and the digital copy was expired or had already been redeemed, but if I understand it correctly, he ordered the BD+DVD+DC combo pack and there was only the BD inside.
 
Received 6/12 of my Blu's yesterday and I am thrilled.

Fantasia/Fantasia2000 was in mint shape and came with the slipcover. DVD's included looked like theyve never been removed from the case.

Hung and Dexter seasons 1-4 are also in great-mint condition.

Still waiting on The Pacific, Spartacus: Blood and Sand s1, Breaking Bad s3, Human Planet, Walking Dead s1 and Rocky Undisputed collection. I can only hope they come in as good of condition as what Ive received so far. I love hastings

He was mainly just complaining about the digital code not being there to redeem. Someone else brought up that they thought he was complaining about the disc missing, but that wasn't his argument. The argument was that the code wasn't redeemable, which is why some people are giving him crap for it. And my response was to let him know codes are not guaranteed as written in on their website. But yeah, he got both discs, just no code to redeem.
 
this deal is so weird. I selected 3, they showed up for 7, went and got 3 more then 1 from the original bunch was no longer 7.

My order just showed up in the mail today.
I Have noticed that Box sets were in this sale when it started, as they become available again, are NOT being allowed to be used with the code.
Strange.
 
I got Inception and True Grit in the mail. Inception advertised being a Blu-ray/DVD combo, but I only received the Blu-ray. I sent an e-mail to customer support and they said they can only go off of what is on the product page so I just sent a reply with a screenshot of the product page which clearly states "Blu-ray/DVD"
 
Boxed sets were originally not supposed to be included in the sale. Those that got orders in early and shipped were lucky.

They most likely listed most of their inventory as out of stock (OMG everything is out of stock!!!) as a quick fix to the problem.

So to all the bitching and moaning about the inventory -> Most of the items (boxed sets) were not even part of the sale.
 
So it doesn't matter what 3 used blu-rays I put in the cart, the code says it's applied but I don't get any kind of discount to activate. Anyone else running into this problem? Also I don't even have a 17&up box to check. I have done that in the past though.
 
Oh yeah and as a follow up to my issue....I called their 1-800 CS # and this girl answered and when I explained that the coupon wasn't working she replied (and I quote), "Well I dunno, I'm looking at the same website you are. All your movies are probably out of stock. Any other problems?" FYI she said all this in a sort of snot-assed tone. I was literally dumbfounded. I've always had good experiences with Gohastings, but wtf?!

Not to prevent you from trying, but they have no way of knowing whether a Digital copy is redeemed or not when they accept trade-ins.

I'm excited to post a pic of me rubbing my Sucker Punch Blu with Digital Copy all over my crotch for Trogdor, Kingkiller, & Blacula to enjoy.

Just called and they refunded me the cost plus shipping for the copy of Avatar. I get to keep the disc.

Also, just as an FYI, my copies of The Town and Iron Man 2 both came with their slipcovers. I promptly threw them out but it was nice to see they were complete.
 
My Evangelion 2.22 was missing the gatefold slipcover. I complained about it and they're letting me keep it for free! I love these guys. Makes me think I should've complained about my Iron Man 1 from a while back that was missing the slipcover, since that movie in particular looks pretty wrong without it (no title on the front)... oh well!

I do generally agree with you about slipcovers though, in most cases they are not worth complaining about and it would certainly be naive to expect them with a used purchase.

Finally, in my defense (again, IF the post was even directed at me to begin with), my post was free from whininess or bitchiness. All I was doing was complimenting Hastings' customer service. :D I sure wasn't expecting a freebie, but you can bet I'm grateful to have scored one.
