$30 trade in credit for ncaa football 2008

This is ridiculous. You pay $60 for a game THIS WEEK and then they offer you half of that in trade credit? Cash I can understand, maybe. Credit should be at least $40 for that game. You know they're going to turn around and sell it for $50 (at the very lowest...when I worked for EB/GS it was normally $55, but I'm giving them a chance to be generous) so that's still a $10-15 profit on each copy sold. It may not seem like a lot, but you'd probably get more people trading in the game, and sell more copies, on top of the normal business they do. I don't see how they can do things like this.

lol. Game Prices increase $10, Gamestop's trade "bonuses" stay the same. I bet half of the people posting in this thread still fall for it though. You guys talk mean when it comes to gamestop. but how many actually ignore the place? I haven't been there in months.

Yea, they will be selling this in store for $55 up until madden comes out so sure they will offer you $30 trade in for it. Sports games dont hold their value, but this is just a rip off. They will do anything to get people to trade brand new games in so they can keep the cycle going and make alot of money. I really do not know who takes advantage of these types of deals because it doesn't really make sense. GS/EB must be preying on kids whoforce their their parents to buy them the game on release day for $60 at launch, play it for a week then trade it in for .50 cents on the dollar. Just crazy.

Each and and every person who complains about trade-in values needs to be violated ass-first (but not last) with an Intro to Economics textbook. Don't like how much they're offering? Then don't sell to them. Novel concept, I know. Want to get a more "fair" trade-in value from a chain? Go to Funcoland. Oh wait, they no longer exist.

The trade-off is in convenience. For the majority of people, time spent walking into a B&M and selling
