300 coming out on Tuesday, but which format to get?
maybe the regular DVD version.

i wish i had HD, saw some CG kid flick at CC... Bluray + 56" 1080p Samsung DLP =
After just watching it in 120" 1080p/24, I don't think I can ever go back to a standard definition dvd.

HD-DVD has all the features, and the best picture-quality.

You'd have to be insane to buy DVD. Honestly, why the hell would you do that? If you have an HDTV you should have stopped buying DVD's a long time ago. If you must buy a movie at least get it on the format you'll going to want it in in the end.

Personally I don't have an HDTV, but I never buy movies at all for other reasons.

Regular, feature-less 1-Disc DVD for me (which'll be easier to move to a portable device/media center than a hi-def disc would). No HDTV + No hi-def player = No HD DVD or Blu-ray for me. Double-sided discs aren't my thing, either.
Bluray 300 seems to be sold out everywhere...
We sold out of it at the Best Buy I work at today. Still had the HD DVD version at the front kiosk though.

None. Not the type of movie worth watching more than once.
Maybe if the blood that sprayed everywhere actually landed on something I could pay attention to the movie, but it distracts me too much so I can't.

Don't you think you're being a bit too nitpicky with an action movie?

I will be renting the regular DVD version of this movie. I haven't seen it yet and will see it sometime soon.

Single Disc DVD for me. I never watch any of the extras on any of the movies I buy so I figure I would save the $6-8 this time.

Renting the DVD from Blockbuster, and I'll probably do a HD rental from the Live Marketplace later (I think it hits in mid-late August).
Yeah, I had to go to five stores before finding a Blu Ray version, and even then, Wal-Mart had two left. It was only $24.99, not bad at all.
 Holy crap, is that how much BR movies are going for? If so, I think that I'll just stick to DVDs. I usually get them on sale for $10 or less.

When I went to CC yesterday for the MS Points deal, BR's 300 was $30, while HDVD's 300 was $35. But, I got it at Wal-Mart for $27 on BR.

:puke:

How could anyone call themself a CAG and pay those prices?

I just ordered the hd dvd version off of amazon...I am getting my ps3 today, but the extra's on the hd dvd version was the difference in my purchase decision...I am still pissed though that hd dvd cost less to make be we are paying more for the movies the blue ray
you just need to know how and where to shop..

i got mines delivered on monday for 23 and change from the wb store
I don't know if you were talking about my complaint..but we shouldn't have to have to look for the cheap hd dvds..the msrp should be the same or less then blue ray..

I'm going with Blu-Ray, I've seen HD-DVD vs. Blu-Ray and I generally think it looks better on Blu-Ray. Wish they had that limited edition for Blu-Ray as well at Best-Buy, kinda a gyp.

I bought movie only, don't have HDTV so the others would be useless. And I don't care for extra shit I ain't gonna bother to watch.
