($32.98 for both!) Order Monsters Inc. BD AND UP BD (same order) and save $10

Thx OP for the heads up, finally bit on this, figured with Amazon's price guarantee, cannot go wrong at this price.
I have no interest in investing in one for the purposes of reselling... my question was merely intended to get at the possibility of whether I could just pick one up a year from now for ~$7.50 if I want to then, or whether I need to buy it now in order to get it at this price.
as with any steelbook the pricing can not be determined before hand, mostly, i would pick it up now.

um.. if you're talking about the steelbook I doubt you'll be able to pick one up a year from now for $7.50... but then again you're not picking one up now for 7.50... you're putting 7.50 down on a preorder and getting the steelbook for free... if you pick it up at bestbuy you get 7.50 off the price you pay and if you don't you can get your 7.50 back in a few days...
I had already pre-ordered both of these in my Gold Box in the summer, so I e-mailed Amazon. They took $10 off my order of Up.
Good to know they'll do that. I really didn't want to cancel my orders since I got them both on Gold Box.

Looks like Walmart now has Up for $19.96 and Monsters Inc. for $22.86.

Let's hope Amazon follows suit with Up for $19.99 and Monsters Inc for $22.99. I wouldn't mind both movies for $32.98 shipped from Amazon.

Or cheaper than $19.99 and $22.99. Never hurts to hope for cheaper than WM from Amazon. I'd be surprised if we saw Amazon go below the $19.99 and $22.99 price points.

Starting to get cold feet

Thinking about holding off on Monsters Inc, actually fulfilling my pre-order from Best Buy for UP and picking up the stuffed dog for $5 for my son. Hmm, I guess your scenario would keep my Amazon order Shrike

Amazon has been matching price drops from WM and Best Buy pretty often with various BR titles. We've seen Amazon drop prices on against both WM and BB price drops. Currently, BB has Up for $22.99, so Amazon is matching that, and when it had dropped previously to $24.49, Amazon matched that as well. Once they see that WM has it at $19.96, I'm sure they'll drop it to match WM, or come close at $19.99.

Monsters Inc is $34.99 at BB, though I'm sure that's advance of the sale starting next week when it comes out. WM has it cheaper than Amazon to get more pre-orders and Amazon will respond in kind. I'd be surprised if they didn't lower it to $22.99 to come close to WM's price.

Either way, as long as we stick with the pre-orders at Amazon, we should end up with as cheap as we can get. The BB sale where you'd get the $4.99 stuffed toy dog w/Up and save $10 might be as cheap as you can get for Up by itself. Assuming it sells in-store at $23.99 per the ad, you'd get Up for $18.99 + tax. Right now, I'm getting Up for $17.99 w/o tax and shipped to my door, though I'm also buying Monsters Inc for $19.49 w/o tax.

I think if you were just going to get Up, then the bundle purchase with the stuffed dog works out best. If you were going to get Monsters Inc as well, then the Amazon deal w/$10 bonus savings is the better deal.

God it would be awesome if both of these hit $19.99 before release day. I have a random $2.22 leftover credit applied to the order, so ~$30 shipped to my door would be the balls. Do it Amazon!

A while back I ordered Snow White (blu-ray) and Monsters, Inc. (blu-ray) and used the $10 off coupon for Snow White. I only ordered Monsters, Inc. to get it over $25 for free shipping. Today I just adjusted my order so I got Snow White, Monsters, Inc. and UP (all blu-ray) for $47.47 total or $15.82 each. Not bad considering they all also come with a DVD copy!

I'd be psyched if I could get another $5 off if they PM Walmart before release!

The toy is cute and I think my daughter would like it, but not sure I want to pay $5 + $23.99 for both that and Up. Hopefully Amazon matches WM and I'll feel better about it.

$8 Manufacturer coupon for Monsters Inc is available

Saw this on SD, credit to Persian_Mafia

Go to Disney movie rewards and enter 786936164886 as a code and you will get the option to print. Makes Best Buy just about the same for now

Has anybody seen next weeks Target ad? Hopefully they will have both UP and Monsters Inc. on sale, to take advantage of the $8 Disney Rewards coupon and the $10 Target coupon for buying both.

Update:
Just checked SD and apparently UP will be $23.99 and Monsters Inc. will be $18.99 when purchased together. If we are able to stack the coupons then both should come out to $25 before taxes.

Nice, thanks!

All we need is confirmation of Target's pricing and we all will be able to make our decisions. Amazon is pretty much irrelevant at the moment unless you don't care about the steelbook/leg work

The thing with the manufacturer's coupon for Monster's Inc, though, is that it says it "May not be ... used in conjunction with any other offer."
So I doubt you'll be able to use it with any combo offers with Up, unfortunately.

Amazon's current pricing with the $10 off bundle package is $22.99 + $24.49 - $10 = $37.48 w/free shipping and w/o tax for most. That's assuming they don't drop Up down to $19.99 or so and Monsters Inc to $22.99 or so to match Walmart's current pricing. In that scenario, it would be $19.99 + 22.99 - $10 = $32.98 w/free shipping and w/o tax for most.

Assuming everything falls into place with BB's pricing, it would be $23.99 + $28.99 - $10 (bundle pricing) - $8 (Monsters Inc coupon) = $34.98 + tax. You would also get the steelbook if you pre-ordered at BB. You then could go do the PM to Walmart after the fact, if you're lucky, and get $4 + tax back on the BB pricing, which would net out at $30.98 + tax.

Target's pricing on $10 off for both may or may not rely on the coupon from their website. If it's automatic, and their coupon adds into the mix, then it would be $23.99 + $28.99 - $10 (bundle pricing) - $10 (Target.com coupon) - $8 (Monsters Inc. coupon) = $24.98 plus tax. If the $10 off for both isn't automatic and does need the coupon from Target.com, then you'd end up with them for $34.98 plus tax.

Where is the $10 bundle pricing at Best Buy coming from?

I know Best Buy is doing the $10 off bundle from the ad but is Target doing the same thing ($10 off bundle)? I missed that somewhere if that's the case.

I was going to see if I could PM the deal from BB at Target and use both the coupons, but if they're doing the same deal I won't have to.
No confirmation on Target, it appears to be a misinterpretation of something I said on SD
If no one posts the ad scan on SD before Saturday, I'll have the ad in-hand on Saturday and I'll post what it says about the pricing.

My guess is that the $10 off both items purchased at the same time will need the coupon on Target.com and not have it be automatic.

I'm betting that Amazon will price drop both items before Friday to match WM, and this will end up being the best deal for both movies. Even if they price drop them before next Tuesday, we're good because of the pre-order price guarantee. Release date shipping on these for Prime is two-day shipping, so they'll be shipping out on this coming Friday. You'd need to decide before Thursday on which one you want to go with, unfortunately.

Ah there's the confusion lol If it doesn't happen I can try and PM the deal at Target. If I get turned down I'll just go to BB. Worse case scenario no $10 Target coupon

I'm still hoping Amazon adds an equivalent coupon to this new $8 manufacturer's coupon, like they did with the SNOWHITE code.

If there is a $10 UP coupon you could potentially save as much as $38 dollars.

$10 for bundle pricing
$10 for the Target.com coupon
$10 for Up Coupon (hopefully)
$8 for Monster's Inc.

Remember Target allows 1 Target specific coupon and 1 Manufacturer's Coupon per ITEM.

That seems a little good to be true. As jacknicklson said, the only way they'd do it is to PM BB, and they should point out that they already offer that, with their coupon.

The only way you'd be saving more than $18 on the deal is if the Up coupon does pan out and turns out to be real.

Does Target PM now? If so, when did Target start PMing again?

I guess the big question is what will Target's price be on both these movies.

http://pressroom.target.com/pr/news/value/our-low-price-promise-facts.aspx

As of July 12, Target stores nationwide will match advertised prices from competitors on identical items in local markets, assuring guests that our products are priced right. We've been testing Our Low Price Promise in Target stores in the Denver and Orlando markets since March 2009 and in select Minneapolis stores since May 2009.

According to someone at DVD Talk they saw the Target ad and said UP and Monsters Inc will both be 26.99

So (until confirmation from the ad) we're looking at:

Best Buy - 23.99 for UP + 18.99 for Monsters Inc - $8 Mfr coupon = 34.98
Target - 26.99 for UP + 26.99 for Monsters Inc - $10 Target coupon - $8 Mfr coupon = 35.98

So maybe a dollar difference (again if the Target ad is true)

I'll go with BB so I can get my RZ points

If it's currently $34.98 with Best Buy after the coupon and bundle savings, $35.98 at Target after the coupons and $37.98 after bundle savings, then it's obvious who the cheapest store will be. Assuming an 8% sales tax on either B&M purchase, it nets out to the same price at BB and slightly more expensive at Target as the Amazon deal, assuming you're not in a state that Amazon charges sales tax on.

I'm still thinking Amazon will drop their prices to catch up to WM's online prices, so I think I'm sticking with my Amazon order. DVDPriceSearch.com shows WM as cheapest for Up at $19.96 and Amazon right behind at $22.99. Same goes with Monsters Inc at WM being $22.86 and Amazon being $24.49. We may not see the last price drop until the day of the release or the day before the release.

Haha, I already tried - I emailed them the details of the manufacturer's coupon to see whether they'd honor it. No luck! Maybe I'll try again with the direct coupon link.

Just cancelled and re-ordered my bundle, didn't trust the pre-order price guarantee and didn't want to have to deal with the possibility of trying to explain the issue to an Amazon CSR in email. Thanks for keeping this updated with the latest prices!

I bit at amazon because I got Up for 18.99 however....I needed to contact customer service because the gold box price wasn't reflected in the final price. I also asked nicely about the 8.00 off coupon and if they would be offering any additional discount.

Just sent in my email. I'm very happy with the pricing on this promotion and it keeps getting better. Plus, having Prime and getting the movies at my house next Tuesday is another nice bonus.

Incredible price!!!! Blu ray dvd....digital copy...all for $20.00!!! Purchased a book for my daughter and with my $5.00 promotional certificate paid a whopping $22.98. :)
