Well when I woke up this morning I turned on my TV to hear loud pop inside and now it's pretty much unwatchable. I was wondering if any of you knew of any quality 27" TVs that don't cost more than $250? Budget is a bit low since my parents are trying to buy a new home and can't do much as of right now. I really need a new tv since I can't play any video games on my current replacement (it doesn't have any AV inputs). Thank you for any help.
I'll buy Tales of Destiny 1 or 2 off of you so that you can buy a better TV.
I'm in trade talks as we speak. Althought I think they might fall through. So just check my tradelist in the next few days to see if they go back on up. Anywho, can anyone else help out? I think I can probably stretch the budget to $300.

Here is a TV that originally costs $449 but is on sale at CC for $300, just a tad over your budget. It is an EDTV that apparently can be hacked to display HDTV 1080i, depending on the date it was manufactured. This TV will handle progressive scan 480p without the hack. Lowest price on Froogle is $419 so this seems like a great deal.

Good luck finding that TV instock. I've searched every store within a 300 mile radius for it. I'm also looking for a 27" TV, but I think I have settled on the Toshiba flatscreen at BB the next time it goes on sale.
I got my Sharp 27F543 27" Flat Stereo TV at costco for 250. It's a pretty cool tv.
Does it deliver good audio and video quality for that price?

I'm trying to get the Toshiba 27AF44

Cheap ass link But Amazon wants 300 + shipping money (and it's on backorder), BB wants 350+ tax, I can't find a real good price on it anywhere. Maybe when the next BB preferred weekend happens..., but I kinda need a TV.

I think it's good. I don't think you can mod it to an HDTV like the CC one but I'm really enjoying playing my xbox on it.

Costco & Walmart seem to be decent places to get tvs now. I had no idea untill someone on CAG told me.

That's the exact Toshiba I was referring to earlier. The picture quality is awesome for a CRT. I like it better than the Sony Trinitron 27".

Yeah I gave my 24" Toshiba to my GF, I don't trust sony or any other brand other than toshiba for TV's :)

Well I was unfortunately informed that the tv that blew out on me was actually 32" not 27". So I need to get a 32 incher now. Any good suggestions? My brain is a bit fried after trying to chase down a good 27 incher.

WalMart has a 32in Sylvania for $247,although my store is replacing the Sylvanias with Panasonics for the same price cause the warehouse is temporarely out of the Sylvanias. YMMV

Its going to be tough to find a 32 incher for $250 that isnt a complete piece of crap.

Good luck, though.

I was wondering if any of you guys knew if any of the stores (best buy, circuit city, etc.) were going to have any tv sales this weekend? I want to know if I should wait until the weekend or should I just get the tv tomorrow? Thank for any of the help.

JVC makes a nice 27 inch tv, it's non flat but comes with component and s-video inputs and has a very nice picture

I've seen it for around $200 in my local electronic stores
