360 or ps3?

momshotdad

CAGiversary!
i have both systems, but i'm only letting myself take one with me back to school since this semester is looking to be crazy hard and i need as little distractions as possible.

i love to play online with my friends and about 95% of my friends are on xbox live, but i'm also on my 7th 360 due to hardware failures. and on multiple of the 7 repair orders, i have received some of the worst customer service i have ever experienced. also paying to play online really blows (i've been spoiled by PSN). also, xbox just doesn't have the games that it used to. if you don't like halo or gears, your kinda SOL.

i love the ps3 and i still have my original since launch but i've about had it with performance problems. i know gabe newell specifically said that the ps3 is a bitch to program on and that's only half of the problem. skyrim, fallout 3, and new vegas are all shining examples of this. i played new vegas for a solid 2 hours and never touched it again it crashed and froze so many times. i also don't like the setup of the PSN as much as live, but that's not a huge deal, i just really don't like that none of my friends have one. but, i love the ps3 games that do work. the uncharted, resistance, and killzone series have seriously blown me away every time and i can't wait for twisted metal or the last guardian!

i know this is kind of a first world problem, but i'm kinda stuck between the two. they both have their ups and downs, but they bother offer some great stuff. what do you guys think?

Blog this next time, not make a thread about it.

Answer: Chicks. You're in college, you should be playing with them instead. (if you happen to enjoy the other team, then do that instead of vidja games.)

I just can't imagine myself buying 7 Xbox 360 consoles. I'd be fed up after the first 2 consoles breaking. Since you're willing to do that and most of your friends are on Xbox bring that.

Yup, first world problem. Third world answer would be to forget both and concentrate on school and relationships.

I'd take the 360. I've got both as well, but my family seems to play with the Xbox a lot more often than the PS3.

On the 360, we can all log in at the same time and it doesn't require system updates anywhere near as often as the PS3 does. Not to mention the game installs can be a pain in the butt.

The most use the PS3 gets is as a blu-ray player. Then of course there's the occasional exclusive like God of War or Uncharted.

I dunno. Chicks smell dirty down there. Well at least according to the WCM Champion who won the five fingers trophy.

I agree with this XBro, ps3 has no gaemz. All about Dat Xbox Live, homie.

I usually dont use my 360 much, but i turned it on the other day. Here is what i went through:

Couldnt connect to Xbox Live.

Do Network test, dashboard update.

Dashboard update takes 10 min.

Once in, i go and see a TV Tab. Nothing available for me.

Then i see youtube. Download youtube.

After yotube installs, it updates itself. About 5+ min just to open Youtube app.

Loads up, live gold required, to watch youtube videos. Laugh quite loudly.

Turn off 360 and remember why i barely use it.

If 360 is where most of your friends and game, and that's mainly what you play, then that's what you should take.

Are you on a slim model yet? Those don't seem to have near the failure rate of the original models. My original model died a few months outside of the 3 year RROD warranty, so I just upgraded to a slim rather than paying $100 to get the old one fixed. I needed more hard drive space anyway (original was just a 20GB model).

No that is an example of Bethesda not being able to program on the PS3.
