The white ones were $37.99 for most of this year. Black ones have usually been MSRP.

Anyway, they've been $50 since day one. These are wireless. The wired ones are $40 (for whoever asked about when MS started charging $50.)

The MSRP is $50 for the wireless controllers but Amazon sold the white wireless controllers for $37.99 for most of this year.
