360 Wireless Racing Wheel

Looks like Microsoft has an official drop on the 360 racing wheel to 129.99. I know amazon.com already has it for that price and sam's club is 119ish but maybe this will drop those prices even more.

Most likely for the release of Forza 2 next week. I was kindda mad that there was no buy the wheel and forza 2 and save a few bucks like they typically do for the GT released on the PS.

While there is not a offical MS Wheel + Forza bundle, im sure stores like bestbuy will have deals for the Wheel + Forza on launch day for the game.

Yup...for a whole dollar less I bet.

I'm gonna be selling mine in a bit on ebay so if anyone wants it here pm me an offer. It still has the box and I'm literally only used it 3 times since I've had it.

I recently bought the G25, much sadness it doesn't work with Forza, but I don't know if I'm willing to have 2 wheels around the house.

It is universal...Very tempting...Someone persuade me, please...Is it worth $130??? I had PGR3 at launch, then sold it a couple months back, it was a great game to play on live though...Probably fun as hell with this wheel..

man i wish you told me like 3 days ago. I bought one off of ebay. I just hope it doesn't have the centering problem.

I just got the wheel + pgr3 from futureshop.ca (a canadian best buy) for 99$, or about 80-85$ US. It's on sale at futureshop.ca and bestbuy.ca for the rest of the week.
Does this wheel work with the PC, if so how well? Is force feedback supported with games?
Some guy actually just posted on the official forums a pretty decent review @ link

copy and paste for convenience:

Quality: 9.5/10
The quality of this accessory is superb. The wheel is built for being either put on your lap, or for being put onto a stand or table. The pedals never slip due to the little rest it has for your heels to sit. The paddle shifters are awsome to use in some situations like drifting and such. The actual wheel itself has awesome rubber grip on the top and sleek metal and plastic on the bottome half, which not only looks cool, but your hands never slip or get sweaty. Not to mention the force feedback, which is unreal. My motto is "Force Feedback or go home!" thats how much of a blast it is. The only bad thing with the wheel's quality is the battery pack. Whenever I turn the wheel off, it starts to shake for some reason, so I have to take out the battery, but that just might be a defect on mine.

Fun Factor: 8.5/10
Well I'm not gonna lie, but when you first start to use the wheel, you're going to hate it and want to return it, but after 2 or 3 races, you'll love it. It's kind of hard to get the hang of, but if you're a good driver, it shouldn't be a problem for you lol. The wheel just adds soo much more replay value to your racing games, you strive to get better and better to the point where people online can't tell if you're pwning with a controller or with this wheel. But honestly, I only use the controller for playing with friends, or in single player, if you're planning to play competitively, you should use the controller.

Compatibility with games: 8/10
The games that this wheel is meant for is an absolute blast. PGR3 is one awsome experience, especially trying to get your virtual drifting on. Forza 2 was incredible with playing it on the wheel, it just felt so right and the way it should that it kinda scared me. The force feedback is spot on in both Forza and in PGR3, but some games just don't work as well with the wheel, like Need For Speed Most Wanted and Test Drive Unlimited. It plays well on the DiRT demo, but it's just way to hard, it's accurate, but just a little too hard for going 80 mph on dirt and gravel.
But for the most part, it works well with games, just not with games that already have hard controls with the controller.

Overall: 9/10
No joke, this product adds so many hours to your racers, and I definately reccomend it for anyone that's a gear head like me. And with the already included PGR3, you can just sell your old copy if you have one. I'm 100% satisfied with the wheel and would definately reccomend it, so if you're in the market to buy one, go for it. You won't be disappointed, or at least I hope you won't be lol.

scroll down a few posts from that guys posts, and you can see me linking to xbox360rally (ong), as well as a guy (Aka Magi) with a good point for point review of his own based on the first guys very positive review.

Just one question though, he says "And with the already included PGR3" does this mean that the wheel comes with PGR3?
Yes it does.
They reprogrammed PGR3 to take advantage of the wheel so it's not just the same game.

I'm pretty pumped now. I'm definetly going to be buying this within a week or two of Forza's release then.

There ever gonna be a wheel that has pedals+manual control? Always have wanted a racing wheel with both of those and the only ones I have ever seen were bad brands/products
I think that review just made me decide to get the wheel. Thanks for posting that. Just one question though, he says "And with the already included PGR3" does this mean that the wheel comes with PGR3?
Amazing, my post did not stick around, but the quote of its existence did, and even helped a user. What gives.

My brother went to Bestbuy today in Downey, California. Apparently the wheel was still at its original price and not $129.99. Is the price drop only effective on the release of forza 2?

Go to Circuit City, or PM almost from anywhere (Walmart included).
But now the question that comes to mind is - Does this "new" PGR3 come with a case and manual
Nope...it's just in an envelope. Crappy, I know.
 I'm not quite sure what you're saying here, but you posting helped? Pat on the back? In any case, thanks
lol, nah, I just noticed recently some of my posts gone, and for that one to be one of them (especially after someone quoted the whole thing anyways), I found pretty amusing.

And that kinda sucks about PGR3 only coming in a sleeve. Now I'm gonna need to hunt down a box and manual...

But seriously, how many people are justifying this wheel as a means to keep Forza longer, and justifying Forza as a means to get the wheel? Because that's seriously the loop I'm in. But then again, I'm probably just bitter that I didn't jump on the Steel Battalion band wagon

Well the update also downloads from Live so it's not like you can't use an original copy of PG3.
