CAGiversary!
That's all the information I know about and if you happen to live next to one
lucky you. I was one of the unfortunate to not have a Fred Meyers near me. I
hope Amazon can match the price. If you guys could send emails to amazon
about this hopefully we can lower their price. I'll PM anyone the link if they
want it but it's not loaded with vase amounts of information.
So there seems to be a "Fred Meyer Jewelers" store not to far from me. It does link to the fredmeyer.com website, so it seems to be that line of stores, but are stores designated this way just jewelry?
Yes that is just a jewelry store. FM Jewelry stores are across the country, mostly in mall locations. FM stores themselves are mostly west coast. Couple in Alaska.

Too bad I don't have the money and the interest to get a DS, or I could use the coupon and my employee discount. :p These coupons come up pretty often, though. I use them on Xbox points, an Xbox, games, etc. Sometimes you can get lucky they'll have this coupon while they also have a coupon for Video Game Accessories (i.e. Xbox points) or Video Games.

Freds also has $5 off the 3ds starter kit. I get the employee discount and am super debating this deal or Tourney MK... I had no real intension to get a 3ds till I saw this coupon. You won't find it any cheaper again for awhile...

Damn, this is tempting now. I was in a FM near my in-laws place and they had at least 4 of each color, which was a bit surprising considering how most console launches go the first week.

Now I just need to decide if it's worth it at this time considering how little I have been playing the DS lite on the shelf.

I got the coupon in my paper. I don't see why it wouldn't work. It only excludes the Kindle and a few other non-gaming items. On the inside of the ad they have some netbooks and things and below that the 3DS is featured along with the games that are 30% off (LBP 2, Bulletstorm, and a few others). On the top (near the Netbooks) is a note that says "plus Remember to use your Savings Ceritifcate on pg 1 for your best deal on Electronics".

If I hadn't already bought one from GS using my credit there, I'd be all over this. I plan on going to FM later today - it will be very tempting to get a second one for the kiddies. The thing is, I still don't have any games for mine and wasn't planning on buying any games for a few months - I think the launch titles are overpriced for what they are. I might get a few later when I can get them for half or less what they cost now.

So it seems kind of pointless to have 2 3DS's in the house and no games... These $10/$20/$30 coupons come around all the time at Fred Meyer so I suppose I can always buy another one later. Though they may wise up and exclude the 3DS in the future so that is something to consider.

Just picked up a black one and Ghost Recon. No problems with the coupon but the clerk was wary of letting me double up the coupon with the game and a screen guard.

I didn't buy a 3DS, but I used the certificate along with a 15% off game accessories coupon. Snagged two 4000 point cards and Just Cause 2 for $105. Quite happy with my purchase.

So, contrary to my typical experiences, I had a horrible experience with Fred Meyer last night. Didn't go for a 3ds, I wanted some other accessories. Employees refused to give me the discount on an xbox 360 250 gig hard drive, because they told me that if I wanted the microsoft gearfest nationally advertised price, that I couldn't have the coupon too. If it was them price matching somewhere, I might understand, but it's a microsoft sponsored nationwide sale.

Anyways, I think that I was remaining calm, but after so many dirty looks, and eye rolls, and snide 'it is what it is, take it or leave it' comments, from a teenage girl with so much glitter on her bucktoothed face that she made Lady Gaga look au naturale, I got a copy of the coupons I needed from the manager, and informed him that I was simply taking my business elsewhere.

Ended up price matching it at Best Buy this morning. 250 gig slim HDD, play and charge kit, extra rechargeable battery for 360 controller, 1600 microsoft points, and a ps3 move Sharpshooter gun all for 131.45 after the 15% off and $30 off coupons.

I went to FM twice only to talk myself out of buying the 3DS each time. I did manage to use to coupon for something else.
