I looked up your recomendations and liked what I saw!

I downloaded:

WarioWare Snapped (I am a sucker for Warioware!)

I am debating about boxlife- but thanks for putting it on my radar!

I actually played it before at the Nintendo World Store (in Manhattan). I liked it enough to get it. I thought it was a unique use for the camera. The system comes with 1000 DSi points free still, so that is what I used them on. I also was heavily prepared with point codes from the Pepsi promotion- so I bought everything I wanted and I still have 4000 DSi points loaded. I have about $40 worth of codes still left to input- but I am not sure if my Wii or DSi should get it.

BASICALLY- for $5.00, the price of a NES game, I thought it was worth it manly because of its use for the camera. It is a show off game.

Sound rationale, some folks seem to demand a lot from a $5 game... Still I havent bought WWS yet because of the reviews... That and Pictobits is still fun.

This stuff looks pretty interesting. I've been selling DSi points in the trading forum for cheap, but I've been considering getting a new DSi for some of this stuff.

Do you think its worth it to get a DSi if you have a DS?

If I have a DS with a Best Buy replacement plan, can I return it for credit towards a DSi?
 
I'm assuming you have a Lite?
It's barely worth it only if you really, really like what DSiWare offers.
Otherwise, I'd stick with the Lite until more DSiWare is released, and more DSi enhanced retail and DSi only games start showing up.

I only upgraded because I loved these puzzle games and had a Phat DS.

There are obviously a lot of factors that go into deciding if you want to upgrade from the DS to the DSi.

Personally, I played my DS more than any of my other systems (and this has always been true for me of Nintendo handhelds). When the DSi came out, I mehed it for a while, but the more DSiware it got, the more I wanted to play those games and fiddle with the camera.

It'll also depend if you find a good deal on a DSi, perhaps. I sold my DS and all accessories on eBay for only $100, as the value of the original DS second-hand goes down all the time. I considered it a fair trade-off, as I found a like new condition black DSi on eBay for $130. $30 difference between the DS and the DSi was a sweet spot for me. And, it was my birthday. ;)

The pure enjoyment that I, my friends, and family got out of the DSi cameras made the purchase an instant win. While the previous owner had spent the 1000 free points on Birds & Beans, Clubhouse Games (that favorite card games pack), and Warioware Airplane -- I used points (some I got from you :D) and purchased Art Style: Pictobits and Art Academy: First Semester. Also, Flipnote Studio is completely free and is easily a wonderful and robust program.

I'm glad they put Brain Age Sudoku out. Hudsons Sudoku Master, also $5, is pretty good, but the Brain Age interface is just way better. It also includes the Brain Age Test, so that's a good value for the low price.

Definitely going to get Minis March Again and Puzzle League Express when I get my DSi. Will probably buy more points to store for upcoming games too.

I must have missed that, them putting a Brain Age sudoku collection out. I think I need to pick that up.
 
I'm liking my DSi purchase more and more as I see the DSiWare games available and coming soon. Any idea how many puzzles are in the Brain Age version of Sudoku? The Hudson Master one supposedly has 150, but neither the review on IGN or the game's wiki page tells me how many are in the Brain Age version.

Purchased some cheap points today and got Brain Age Sudoku as well as Dragon Quest Wars. Brain Age Sudoku really brings back Brain Age memories. Looks like a good sudoku application. Went through the tutorial and the Brain Age check. While the reviews sort of make it sound like you'll get three games in addition to the sudoku, it's not quite the case. The three other games are part of the Brain Age check, and you can only do them when you do the Brain Age test, which takes about 8 minutes overall.
 
Anyone know when the EA Sudoku game is coming out for DSiWare? I know it's sometime later this year, but don't know an exact date. It sounds like an amazing version of sudoku since you can add in the puzzles from the newspaper to play as well.

Probably gonna pick up the Brain Age version today since my screen protectors arrived.

That sounds really fleshed out, and with hundreds of puzzles, a great value. I'll be interested when this one comes around.
 
Finally got around to downloading Brain Age Sudoku, and it's great! Might pick up the Master Sudoku one or whatever it's called as well. Thoroughly enjoying my DSi at this point! :D

Dragon Quest Wars is so-so. The forced stylus controls are not all that intuitive - it's hard to cancel moves and even aim sometimes. One of your units can't attack, so if all the other units get killed, that one's totally useless. There's no story, either. It's just a series of fights or multiplayer battles. Still, the graphics and music are pretty good.
 
Only thing I don't like about the Brain Age Sudoku Express game is that when you are doing the memory exercise, you get very little time to write your answer in each box, and sometimes it doesn't read the number right. I've already had a few times where I knew the number, wrote it down, the comp took it as a different number, and gave me an incorrect mark for that box. :cry:
