3DS[i] eShop Shop Thread:**LAST DAY TO GET ZELDA 4 SWORDS FOR FREE**

I am interested in Dragon Quest Wars. I have read the reviews- but I want opinions. Yay or nay?

Also, I just bought a 2 gig SD card for my DSi. I wanted to set my DSi up like the Wii, where I have all of my Virtual Console/WiiWare games on the SD card and all channels on the system. When I copied WarioWare Snapped onto the SD card, and deleted it off of the system- it vanished on the main menu. Does anyone know how to get this to work? Also, the games with files- I want to ensure my files are safe.

Does anyone know how to get this to work how I want? Thanks!

The DSi doesn't read the SD cards like the Wii does after the Wii got a system update for it.
Made by the guys who made Super Mario Ball and Metroid Prime Pinball I believe.
Has the chance of being pretty good.
Sounds promising. I may get it later.
Here are some screens if you want to see them.
Thank you. Looks promising, and the fact that the developers worked on Metroid Prime Pinball is quite the kudos.

Where did you get this information?

digging it quite a bit. It still feels a bit over priced for one table but its a pretty good table none the less and they went full boat on the details (the loud ass clack when you get an extra ball or set a new high score).

There are a few things about it that does suck

1) the disappointing ball between the screens bugs you no matter how much you thought you had gotten over it. It seems worse in this than any other game I can remember. Eventually you do get used to it but it still bugs you

2) I don't know if its buggy or if its something I'm doing wrong but I can't get it to save my high scores to save my life. I broke a million points and was elated but when I played it again, it didn't show up. Only my score that took the fifth spot is there.

3) They don't set you up with the normal three balls but rather they give you 2 balls and the option of getting credits when you hit score plateaus. Its....weird to say the least.

Though I would have liked another table, in the end, not bad for $5. It's the perfect game for the shitter.

And yes, this is from the people behind Mario Pinball Land and Metroid Prime Pinball

Mario Pinball Land is one of the more frustrating video pinball games around, though I still kind of like it. Kind of. Metroid Prime Pinball was fun except for that bug shooting mini-game that you play over and over and over again. I hated that. Still... I'll probably give this one a shot. 500 points doesn't seem too bad.

There seems to be 2 or 3 different high score lists FB, depending on whether you used a credit or not.
Maybe that's it.

I do wish it had more tables, but at least the one is packed with content. I like all the high quality voice samples too.

If not for all the free points from Pepsi though, I'd be iffy.

though I love pinball, the main reason I got it was because I had 700 points on my account and that isn't enough for anything (it makes sense in my mind)

could be cool

DSiWare: Dragon's Lair Coming To DSiWare
dragonlairdsi.png

After some middling with dull WiiWare titles like Word Searcher, Digital Leisure is going into the back catalog, and serving up some Dragon's Lair on DSiWare.

That is, according to the German USK rating system, which recently rated the old FMV action-puzzler for the system. Recently its sequel Space Ace popped up on the iPhone app store and took up a jaunty 243MB - I wonder if Dragon's Lair can make the journey to DSiWare while sticking to the 20-40MB size limit?

Source: USK Rating System.

really don't want to know how many blocks this will take up

I'd only buy Dragon's Lair if it was 200 points, and I doubt it will be. That game is nostalgia, and not much else. At least I think so. It has been a long time....

depending on how it looks in motion, Don Bluth animation on a hand held is worth $10 to me. And if you dug it back in the day with its frustrating chessboard section, the game still holds up quite well after all these years

Is it actually the FMV game?

Nintendo really needs to fix the SD card thing ala Wii.
Why give us all those spaces on the menu if they will never be all used at once?

I so lied. I can't resist pinball. I loved Metroid Prime Pinball so much. Downloaded Pinball Pulse and played the Daily Pinball. Considering the price I got my points at, the game cost me about $3.

They apparently never foresaw the problem of limited internal storage. And unless I'm mistaken, games that load from the SD card can't be loaded from the main Wii menu, which is even more retarded.
Is it actually the FMV game?
after you say that, I completely forgot about the side scroller that was on the SNES (dunno if it got a Genesis release).

Now I'm curious if it will be that game instead of the FMV game

Oh, they foresaw it alright. It's impossible miss. Disallowing loading from the memory card is just their dumb attempt at preventing homebrew-type stuff.

I don't know what you mean by games that run off the SD card can't be loaded from the Wii Main Menu though? On the Wii, there's a seperate SD card menu that is quickly accessed if that's what you meant. I'm not bothered by that, and hope a similar solution is brought to the DSi.

I could have sworn that games could be saved to the SD card inside the DSi and loaded from the main menu, but I think I was wrong. Just tried moving a game to the SD card, and it vanished from the main menu. :(

The SD card solution for the Wii is flawless in my opinion. It was much better than I expected it to be, and I was plesently surprised by it.

I would like the DSi to have something very similar.

Considering many of us wondered if Nintendo was just going to ignore the situation, who wouldn't be happy?

The SD card solution does indeed work fine. All those empty slots that'll never be filled on the Wii menu is just stupid, though.

That's true.

What I use the Wii Menu for is channels, and the SD card for is WiiWare, and VC games. I like how I have it set up, it works for my needs.

We should be getting Bomberman Blitz in the next few weeks, as well as Bejeweled Twist. Pretty sure Bomberman is only 500 points too, which is crazy. Not sure if it's all multiplayer or if it includes single player stuff too, though.

just noticed this on Nintendolife about the upcoming Dragon's Lair port

Hi Everyone! Here are some quick answers to your questions.

1) Can the DSi handle this? Of course! The game plays great!
2) Is this a game, can it actually be played? Yes, this is the original Dragon's Lair from the arcades, and it's fully playable! Every original scene is included!
3) Will it be like the NES version? Absolutely not!! I assure you, the first scene is passable! ;-)
4) Why not on a console? All we said is that is it coming to DSiWare...no one ever confirmed or denied a console release!
5) Can this even fit on DSiWare!? Yes, it most certainly can, and no, it won't take up the entire system memory.

We'll be posting screenshots, video and a whole lot more over the coming weeks until release.

22. DigitalLeisure Canada 14 Oct 2009, 20:24 BST

@buffalobob - The game is controlled with + Control Pad and A/B buttons.

30. DigitalLeisure Canada 15 Oct 2009, 14:21 BST

@Tony - Yes, the opening drawbridge can be found in the "Home Mode" as it was technically not included in the original arcade release. The game will be releasing worldwide. USK was first to post the rating to their site.

@SmaMan - You can use either the A or B button for the Sword, they'll both work.

@letsplay - We'd love to make it available for WiiWare, but due to the size limits it won't be possible.

interest definitely piqued

The file size can fit for DSiWare and not WiiWare??

Bejeweled yes, Bookworm no. Other sites are reporting it as 200 points as well, so I guess it's not a typo. Definitely buying it as soon as it's on the store just in case though. ;)

Square Enix Brings Cell Phone Strategy Title to DSiWare
The next Square Enix download title hits next week.
Posted Oct 24, 2009 at 22:44, by Anoop Gantayat

Square Enix is tapping into its cell phone lineup for its next DSiWare download. Nintendo posted details today on a DSiWare version of Kuni Yaburete Sanga Ari.

The original cell phone version, often translated to English as "Hills and Rivers Remain," was released for iMode in May. As detailed here at that time, the game offers real time strategy with a simple command set and a dramatic story line.

The DSiWare version promises the same real time strategy gameplay. However, Square Enix is updating the interface for stylus controls. Wireless play for four is also supported now, complete with customization options for setting turn limits and item numbers. The wireless mode will feature some exclusive maps.

Look for Kuni Yaburete Sanga Ari on DSiWare on October 28 at 800 DSiPoints.

EA Sudoku keeps a lot of statistics for you, so you can see how well you do on the various sudoku puzzles. It also has 5 difficulty levels and the newspaper mode where you can enter in the puzzle and then complete it in the game. Looks like there is also a puzzle solver option in newspaper mode, but I don't have any newspapers with sudoku puzzles to try it out.

Only bummer I've noticed so far (could be an option I just haven't found I guess) is that you can't write in the numbers via the touch screen. What you do is touch the box, then touch the number you want in the box on the far right of the touch screen.

Regardless, for 200 points this is a steal IMO.

Yeah, going back and forth all the time kind of sucks. Like I said though, I haven't really looked into it to see if the option is hidden somewhere to use. It's definitely not on the options screen though.
