HD commonly refers to resolution of 720i/p and greater.
The Wii is only capable of displaying @ 480.
You will however yield
480p (as in progressive scan = better) via these component cables
vs.
480i (as in interlaced = common tv display) if you use the standard cables.

Obviously it goes unsaid your TV must support component cables.

How long are these cables compared to the composite cables that come standard with the Wii?

I agree, I got some pricey nice "HD" cables for dirt cheap like $9shipped. Looks much better than these imo :lol:

ooh the wii only capable of 480p max? that's lame... i thought it could go up to 720p
