$4.99 Games at SamGoody

OK here's the Deal, I was at Sam Goody last night and it seems they have some sort of sale going on. This is definetly YMMV, because I checked online and they have normal prices. Apparently they have a couple of games that are $20 with a 75% off sticker on them. The price is actually $4.99. Heres the best part.....some are also greatest hits. They have PS2, Xbox and GC games with these stickers. This is what I managed to pick up.

Platinum Hits - Star wars Starfighter $4.99
Night Caster - $4.99
Circus Maximus - $4.99

I only got these XBOx games cause I had, or wasn't interested in what they had for other systems. Note Circus Maximus didn't have a sticker, but it still was $4.99. The sticker on it said $19.99.

It was a gift from my Uncle Pricematch and Aunt Circuit City during the Best Buy $5 fiasco.
 
Alright this deal fucks men mainly in the ass...

They really didn't have a good game selection at all, then the $9.99 games sucked because they were all marked $9.99 and up, but for $16 I could've got Pac Man vs, or Tony Hawk 4. Had they been 9.99 I would've considered it, but that extra $7 is a bitch.
 
Yeah, NOTHING rang up as $4.99 at my local SG. Enclave for the Xbox which had a 25% off clearance sticker on it and sells for $5-$15 everywhere rang up at $19.99. So did Conflict: Desert Storm (non-PH), Unreal Championship (non-PH), Dead to Rights (non-PH), and Morrowind (PH). They had a bunch of crappy games 2 for $25 and another rack of $9.99 and up. All the games on those racks were ones I saw at CC and, this may :shock: or :eek: some of you, I passed them over. :wink:

These Emoticon things are kind of fun, never used them before.
 
I saw this thread last night and figured I'd give them a call today when I got home from work, to spare me the gas money.

I'm not sure what's going on, but both of the stores within driving distance of me are neglecting to answer their phones, and I even confirmed the number through their own site and yellowpages.com.

Guess I'll give 'em a try later, because I'm surely not driving 30 miles based on the responses of this thread.
 
I'm gonna give my store a call in the morning.

Mine has had a ton of Eternal Darknesses @ $50 for forever...Id love for it to go clearance so I could get it for $5
