This is all over sd & fw... as stated sharp LC-42d64u. It is on website but only available in store now. If you have a AAA 10% coupon you can get down to $1079 + tax. I am pretty sure this is the newer model that was released recently. It seems to have less issues with banding than prior model. Picked this up from avs forums. If in the market this is a pretty hot deal.

If I wasn't waiting to see what Black Friday brings, or had use for a hot HDTV before Christmas, I'd be all over this.

This deal is now ymmv. I got rejected at first store after showing printout of web page from last night. So off to store #2. I get there and am told they have to check with manager. Waited almost an hour and they finally did it. But no coupon allowed as it is double dipping, likewise with the upgrade to hd cable with comcast in store deal. If you do this when buying a tv you get a rebate for $100. Anyways I did it anyways as it is still a good price and it is the newly released model.
Just checked website and it has all changed again now it is 1299. When I was at store the website was at 1799. That is why first store would not do deal.

This is the older model.

LC-42D72U is the newest model. I think it is only available as a 42" still.

Anyway this is still a fine deal. I was wondering how long before the prices on these would come down. I'd still have to see prices go down even further before I'd buy this, mostly cause I want something at least 50" and very top of the line.

Still a great deal especially if you can get the 10% off to work. I remember being uber pissed when I ordered this on Amazon for $1000 and it ended up being a phony or something--it was a 3rd party seller.

I just got this and it's truly great. A huge difference in PQ from the 1080p Vizio I had earlier, and they are the exact same price. I used the AAA coupon to make it $1170 with tax. Some people have had luck pricematching at (I believe) Sears and using more coupons to make it below a grand.
